| Accompanied by the rapid development of the Chinese economy and industry, the severe air pollution has become a head-scratching disease to most cities in China in that it brings harmful effect to citizens’ health and benefit.Although Chinese government never stops changing this situation,it seems becoming more and more complex on the pollution level and the types of pollution, compared with the developed countries. There is still a long way to go.In consideration of the transmissible feature of air pollution,it becomes a trend for governments of different cities to cooperate with each other on the air pollution prevention. The several main economic circles of China have already started the cooperation under the guidance of central government. However, there is no mature system or theories to lead this kind of cooperation yet.Since the coordination mechanism in preventing the air pollution of Yangtze River Delta region officially launched in 2014,provinces and cities have enacted many policies in order to prevent the pollution from different fields. This study tries to analyze and demonstrate the result and effect of these policies as well as the coordination mechanism by collecting and calculating the statistics of representative cities. The final result shows that the air quality has improved a lot after the policies came out,but the improvement was mainly related to the natural element like the rainfall and wind, instead of the policies. As a result, this study concludes the inadequacy part of the policies or the coordination mechanism and offers some feasible policy proposal. |
