Promotion Incentive?land Grant And Environmental Pollution

The problem of environment and development has always been the ends of the balance.Since the reform,the economy of our country has been a leap-forward development.However,the sustainability of extensive development at the expense of the ecological environment has been widely questioned.With the ecological problem is becoming more serious,the government and the society are seeking a two-track development model that provides growth and environmental protection at the same time.Based on the data of officials,land and environmental pollution of three hundred cities in the period from 2007 to 2016,this paper examines the relationship of the promotion incentive,personal characteristics of the officials,and the behavior of land grant,and further discusses the transmission of environment.The first part of this paper explains the background and significance of the topic,and elaborates the innovation of this article compared with the previous articles.The second part classifies and summarizes the existing literatures.The third part constructs the regression model and explains the data collection and selection procedures.The fourth part displays and analyzes the empirical results.The fifth part summarizes the research conclusions,and puts forward the corresponding policy recommendations.This paper applies the fixed-effect model to study the relationship of promotion incentive,personal characteristic of officials and land grant.And further discusses the influence of different regional economic endowment on land grant by officials.Finally we also discusses how promotion incentive faced by officials and their own characteristics affect the environment under their jurisdiction through land grant.
