Research And Application Of Zero-waste Concept In Fashion Design

First of all,this paper starts with the status quo of the domestic garment industry,briefly expounds the problem of fabric waste and pollution in the life cycle of the garment,clarifies the definition of sustainable fashion coverage and zero waste concept,and then summarizes three zero waste design methods for the clothing design and production in different stages.Zero-waste clothing is not an emerging fashion,but the initial form and expression of the East and West clothing.This article starts from the historical point of view,and then organizes the modern zero-waste reprehensive designers and brands,providing inspiration and methodology for zero-waste clothing design in the modern context.This article focuses on the layout:"one piece of cloth"design,zero-waste version of the system,the combination of the clothing and the shape of the "one sewing thread" cutting method,while introducing the deconstruction philosophy into the recycling design.In this process,we have compiled a feasible zero-waste design method.Secondly,this paper analyzes the Swiss environmental protection brand—FREITAG,which from the brand core values,product perspective and customer level,and provides a reference for the construction of sustainable fashion brand model.Finally,in order to combining the theory and practice,carried out the zero waste education practice based on the "My Heart is Love" charity organization,and launched a one-semester "zero waste" micro-environmental classroom in the Beijing Fourth Middle Fang Shan Campus.In the end,the students were guided to use the recycled old clothes to renovate and redesigned the environmental protection bags and fabric dolls,which became one of the school's exhibits for foreign exchange.
