Research On The Application Of The Confucian Culture In The Kitchen Ware Design Based On The Design Affairology

Under the background of cultural globalization,the integration of ethnical culture is not abandoned by society as a result.On the contrary,the contradictions and conflicts between diverse human civilization and different values enhance the ethnical characteristics.How to realize global recognition of China's design culture,how to integrate Chinese culture into product design and how will Chinese design culture develop in the future are all problems to be solved at present.The paper chooses the most important factor in traditional Chinese culture –Confucius Culture as the cutting point of enhancing ethnical characteristics.Based on affairology,from the perspective of restoring the characters in Confucius Culture and exploring into the relation between Confucius Culture and logic of design,the paper conducts conducive researches on the product design approaches that can demonstrate Confucius Culture.First of all,the paper adopts literature review approach,sorts out the materials about affairology,Confucius Culture and kitchen ware design,finds out the connection between the characteristics of Confucius Culture and affairology,proposes to explore into Confucius Culture's relation with methodology of affairology,and applies it into kitchen ware design.Then,by material analysis method and case study method,the paper delves into the internal connection of artificial things,and re-structures the rational form of specific artificial things.Through investigating into the factors that affect artificial things and the linkage between the factors,the paper excavates the Confucius Culture in “artificial things” and the design logic relation.Besides,the paper selects the cases of chopsticks and steamer,expounds on the design purpose,internal factors,external factors and so on in order to restore the artificial things.Finally,the paper constructs the design logic relation model in the context of Confucius Culture,summarizes the four elements in kitchen ware design under the background of Confucius Culture,respectively: study the nature of things,explore to the depth;balance of yin and yang,pursue changes in balance;innovative applications into reality,realize creativity in practices;doctrine of mean and balance and unification of the inside and outside.Based on the design logic relation model and design logic elements,the paper concludes the procedure of kitchen ware design under Confucius Culture so as to provide basis for kitchen design in the future.The paper selects the steam oven as the case,elaborates on the design purpose,internal factors and external factors,re-structures the rationality of artificial things,and sets up relation model so as to provide evidence for the design logic elements and procedure in the context of Confucius Culture.
