The Design Features And Reference Significance Of Elegant Offerings In The Qianlong Period

The Qianlong period was the heyday of social development in Qing Dynasty.There were countless kinds of imperial crafts made with various materials and well produced.As a supplement to the “scholar's four jewels”,elegant offerings play an important role in scholars' life.We can not only know about the history of design in ancient China,but also the aesthetic culture behind by studying the elegant offerings.There has already been a lot of studies about the craft and scholar's four jewels in Qianlong period in the academic circles.Based on the study before,this paper make a comprehensive study and summary about the art design of elegant offerings in Qianlong period.Using the methods of looking up relevant books and articles,collecting information in museum,comparing in both vertically and horizontally view,summarizing and generalizing,this paper's thread is the art design of elegant offerings in Qianlong period.And the main content includes three parts: the background of developing elegant offerings in Qianlong period,the design features of elegant offerings in Qianlong period,the implications for modern design.Through the analysis decoration and design of shape,this paper try to explore the aesthetic culture behind the art design of elegant offerings in Qianlong period,promote and inherit traditional culture while provide reference for modern design.The design features and reference significance of elegant offerings in the Qianlong period are the foothold of this paper.From introverted and simple to complicated and gorgeous,the preference of Qianlong has an important influence on the design of elegant offerings.The development of elegant offerings is the result of economic prosperity,social stability and Qianlong's emphasis on art.The elegant offerings in Qianlong period stress the meaning of auspiciousness.Many works imitate the Five Famous Kilns in Song dynasty appeared.The design features of elegant offerings in the Qianlong period embody the traditional Chinese aesthetic feelings,that is,to value artistic conception and skillful materials,which can be used for reference in contemporary design.Specifically,this paper is divided into six parts.The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the purpose and significance of this study,the source of topic,research methods and current situation of the study.The second chapter is the formation and development of elegant offerings.Firstly,defining the research scope of elegant offerings,and clarifying the writing object of this article.Secondly,this paper analyses the background of the development of elegant offerings from three aspects: economy,technology and manufacturing mechanism.The third chapter is about the types of elegant offerings during the Qianlong period.It introduces the types of elegant offerings according to their usage,which provides theoretical support for the summary of the design features.The fourth chapter is about design features of elegant offerings in the Qianlong period.As the key chapter of the paper,the design features of the elegant offerings are interpreted from three aspects: the shape and pattern,the color and the craft.The fifth chapter discusses the aesthetic tendency of Qianlong and the reference significance for the contemporary design.Through the analysis of similarities and differences of the design in the Qianlong period and the contemporary design,this paper draws inspiration for contemporary design.
