Research On Social Responsibility Implementation Problems And Countermeasures Of Shenhua Group

With the fast changes in the international economic situation and the rapid development of the global economy,more and more corporations have not only paid close attention to profit increase,but also gradually begun to focus on the improvement of their own image,the protection of the ecological environment,and the participation in social charity.That is to say corporations have started to realize the importance of fulfilling social responsibility.The fulfillment of social responsibility is the need of corporations themselves and also the demand of society for successful corporations.Shenhua Group is the most famous enterprise in China's energy industry and also the largest coal supplier in China and even in the world.It should actively fulfill its social responsibility to lead the energy industry.This paper,based on the analysis of relevant literatures on social responsibility at home and abroad and redefined corporate social responsibility,has constructed a seven-dimension framework of corporate social responsibility.Then,the paper analysed Shenhua's social responsibility performance,discussed its current problems in fulfilling social responsibility and finally puts forward some countermeasures to solve the specific issuesBy the detailed analysis,it can be concluded that Shenhua Group's social responsibility performance is relatively good and set a model for other enterprises in the aspects of ecological environmental protection,employee rights protection and technological innovation.However,the existing problems cannot be ignored,such as insufficient implementation of overseas social responsibility,deviations in the understanding of public welfare and charitable responsibility,lack of implementation of anti-corruption,honesty and compliance responsibility.In order to respond to the national call,enhance it's own social image,and develop sustainable,Shenhua Group should further improve its social responsibility performance in overall aspects.
