Research On Network Characteristics Of Micro-blog Public Opinion In Natural Disasters

With rapid development of the global Internet technology,the mobile social self media platform,such as micro-blog and forum,has become the main channel for public access to instant information because of its rapid communication and strong interaction.In recent years,the latest public opinion of many natural disasters is spread through micro-blog users’ publishment,retransmission and so on,so that many users’ opinions and views are combined and quickly resonated to form a natural disaster micro-blog public opinion.In this context,it is important to study the topology and propagation law of the micro-blog public opinion transmission network,identify important nodes of the micro-blog public opinion transmission network.It is great significance for the government to control public opinion from the source and enhance the management ability of the government micro-blog public opinion.In order to study the impact of micro-blog public opinion communication network characteristic in natural disaster accident on the spread of micro-blog public opinion information.Taking the "8.8 Jiuzhaigou earthquake" as an example,social network analysis is used to dynamically model and analysis for the propagation network of micro-blog public opinion.Based on the in-depth analysis of the attention degree of the "8.8 Jiuzhaigou earthquake" accident and the propagation law of micro-blog public opinion,the initial nodes of the micro-blog public opinion transmission network are analyzed and selected,and all the nodes of the network are collected in the way of snowball.The relation data between all network nodes are obtained based on the statistical arrangement,and the micro-blog public opinion transmission network of "8.8 Jiuzhaigou earthquake" is constructed.The network is measured and analyzed from three aspects including the overall network structure,position and role,centrality combining with the social network analysis.According to the results of analysis and the basic theory of micro-blog public opinion,the control and guidance strategies for the transmission of micro-blog public opinion in natural disaster accidents are proposed in order to provide a practical basis for controlling and managing micro-blog public opinion of natural disasters.The research found that the "8.8 Jiuzhaigou earthquake" micro-blog public opinion transmission network is a network structure with high connectivity and complex multiple relations,the overall network is relatively sparse,and there is an obvious scale free characteristic;The network is composed of several subgroups and the inner subgroups are mainly composed of official media and government officials;The nodes’ position relation determines its ability to obtain public opinion information and disseminate public opinion information.The core media,such as "China Seismological Network Quick Report","CCTV News","People’s Network","People’s Daily" and so on,are key nodes in the communication network of micro-blog public opinion.And they not only play a bridge role in communication with other nodes and they are not easy to be controlled by other nodes in the network.To a large extent,they affect the dissemination of public opinion information in the whole network.Therefore,in the process of micro-blog public opinion dissemination,we should strengthen the use and control of core nodes and sub groups,so as to guide the healthy development of micro-blog’s public opinion in natural disasters.
