Applied Research On The Honeysuckle Pattern Dunhuang Murals In Costume Design

During the 5,000-years history of civilization,a lot of precious artistic treasures were preserved.The one of the most precious of these treasures is Duhuang Murals,which has a high artistic value in china even in the world,and is known as the"wall museum".Both of painting of the Dunhuang Murals are stunning artwork under the rush of time,which have abundant in traditional decorative patterns,embodiment the deeper cultural values,and also is worth imitating and learning in the area of modem art design.Honeysuckle Pattern is one of the major themes in the decorative patterns of dunhuang murals,which has rich modeling,exquisite painting.This thesis focus on the artistic characteristics of the honeysuckle pattern from the origin of the honeysuckle pattern,and takes the shape structure,color matching technique and composition of honeysuckle pattern in Dunhuang murals as the point of departure.Applying the elements which extract from the deconstruction restructuring of honeysuckle pattern on modern women’s design,and makeing these elements conforms to modern fashion trends and aesthetics,in order to exploring new ideas and new methods of traditional patterns in modern clothing design.Expecting this thesis could has inspiration and reference for the study of the application of traditional culture in the field of fashion design.This paper is divided into seven chapters to explain the main content.The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the topic selection,research background and research status of this thesis,clarifies the research purpose and significance of this paper,the main research contents,research methods,innovation points and difficulties of this topic.The second chapter of the thesis is an overview of the origin,development and cultural factors of honeysuckle pattern in Dunhuang murals,and expounds the display of honeysuckle pattern in different types of decorative patterns in Dunhuang.The third chapter is the key part of this thesis,and it is also the transition of the theory and practice of this thesis,that is,the analysis of the artistic characteristics of t honeysuckle pattern in Dunhuang murals.This is the design material that transforms artistic modeling elements into clothing design,including research on the structure,organization,and color characteristics.The fourth chapter discusses the application principles,application forms and application methods of Dunhuang murals in the design of clothing.The fifth chapter is the design practice application part of this thesis.It focuses on the preliminary preparation work of the design and determines the selection scheme.Through the design practice of the wintering pattern element clothing,the application method of honeysuckle pattern of the Dunhuang mural in modern women’s design is illustrated.The sixth chapter is the conclusion of this article,which is a summary of the contents of all chapters and a vision for the future.This thesis embodies research results in fashion design through practice by combining theory and practice.It is hoped that the research of this thesis can contribute some valuable research and exploration to the cultural inheritance and application in the field of fashion design,and provides reference for future research in this area.
