The Research Of Chinese Integrated Kitchen System Design With The Example Of PIANO

With the rapid development of our country economy, urbanized progress and the exploitation of commercial property, more and more people own their private residences in the city and the integrated kitchen concept is widely brought in, so that the kitchen decoration gradually becomes the importance of house design. Kitchen concept belongs to the complicated system, because it contains multi-aspect design elements. Base on the integrated kitchen, the theory focus on the research of Chinese kitchen and its function accessories, and the analysis of Chinese kitchen system design procedure.The article firstly begins with the integrated kitchen concept, the research of kitchen history development, and the research of kitchen design influenced by the Chinese food culture. Besides, it also describes the importance of created design about Chinese integrated kitchen by the comparison between Chinese and Western style food culture, and between modern and traditional kitchen;In the second part of the article, it not only focus on the research of existing kitchen, but also analysis the brand name of existing integrated kitchen, its design tendency, the research of user behavior and the composing of integrated kitchen system;In the final part of the article, it mainly reflects the development procedure of Chinese integrated kitchen, and introduces the PIANO including its design. Additionally, from the analysis between the integrated kitchen design and the function exploitation, the method and process of the Chinese integrated kitchen can be probed.Related to many aspects of people’s diet, the integrated kitchen contains the food culture, the eating habit, the using behavior and the aesthetic standards. On the basis of methodology, the theory establishes the living style of targeted users by combining the research of quantitative and qualitative. Moreover, the commercial opportunity and the requirement of product design can be found by the way of anthropology researches, such as Focus Group, Cluster Analyzing, Culture Probing, and Usability Analyzing.In China, it is quite short time for the development of integrated kitchen. Most of the kitchen factories in China pay only attention to the appearance design, instead of deeply researches inside. As a result, it caused the function design flaw of integrated kitchen. The situation urgently needs to be changed because the kitchen factories are lack of creativity and just copy the western design,There are two strong opinions in the theory. Opinion one:By considering the related food culture, the layout, the function and the style, the Chinese integrated kitchen could be taken as the whole system to design. Therefore, it can be avoidable with the separation between design and targeted users, and the problem of usability inefficiency, which is caused by extremely taking care of the appearance.Opinion Two:It is said that the integration is together with the proportion. Our customers will satisfy with the good-function kitchen, because the function accessory is the proportion of integrated kitchen and the development of function accessory is the complement of integrated kitchen system.
