Paper-based materials are widely used for packaging materials because of their green and environmental characteristics.Antibacterial paper is a commonly used paper-based functional material with antibacterial and anti-mildew properties. However, paper with a single antibacterial property is far from meeting the requirements of packaging materials. In this paper,a kind of high-efficient and well-compatibility composite antibacterial agent was added to the beeswax emulsion. The paper-based functional material with antibacterial and waterproof performance was prepared by coating method. The antibacterial and waterproof property were studied. In order to prepare a graphene with good dispersion that can be used for building a graphene-based nanocomposite material, graphene oxide(GO)is reduced by dopamine. At the same time, due to the self-polymerization property of dopamine,a dopamine(PDA)films is formed on RGO surface.TEM and XPS results show that the RGO surface has the presence of N element and has a peak similar to pure PDA,indicating that the PDA coating forms on the RGO surface.FT-IR results showed that there existed a large amount of catechol and amino groups on the GO surface. These functional groups made the prepared PDA-RGO have good water solubility. The prepared PDA-RGO is used as a substrate to prepare a graphene-based composite material.Ag~+is introduced into the PDA-RGO surface, followed by addition of a certain amount of dopamine to ensure the completely reduction of Ag+.The results showed that Ag~+was successfully reduced to Ag nanoparticles, and Ag nanoparticles are evenly distributed on the surface of RGO.The nanocomposite has the diffraction peaks of the(1 1 1),(2 0 0),(2 2 0)and(3 1 1)facets of the face-centered cubic silver crystals. The average grain size of the particles calculated from the diffraction peak of the(1 1 1)crystal plane of silver is 28.2 nm.The antibacterial effect of E.coli was studied using a 100 mg/L Ag-PDA-RGO solution. The results showed that the antibacterial rate of Ag-PDA-RGO against bacteria reached 100%when the volume of used solution was 120?L.In order to obtain a stable beeswax emulsion,Ag-PDA-RGO nanocomposites were used as stabilizers for the emulsion.Stable beeswax composites were prepared by using Pickering emulsion method, and paper-based functional material with antibacterial and waterproof properties were prepared by coating method. The results showed that the encapsulation of beeswax by Ag-PDA-RGO significantly improved the thermal properties of the paper. The measurement of the contact angle of the paper showed that the contact angle of the paper coated with the beeswax composite reached 123.3°.The antibacterial effect of E.coli showed that the paper's antibacterial rate reached 95.8%when the addition amount of Ag-PDA-RGO nanocomposite was0.8%.The paper-based functional material prepared by this method can prevent the infiltration of bacteria and moisture, and can be used as a substitute for a synthetic plastic packaging material, especially for short-term packaging and disposable packaging applications.
