Membrane fouling is an important factors hindering the development of the membrane technology, improve the hydrophilicity of membrane and antimicrobial properties can effectively improve the membrane fouling. Dopamine (DA) from the aggregation of biomimetic adhesion technology for the hydrophilic modification of membrane and antibacterial modification provides an efficient way. This paper we used DA polymerization to modify ultrafiltration membrane, and then graft hydrophilic groups and antibacterial substances on the modified ultrafiltration membrane, characterize the flux, contact Angle, FTIR, SEM and antibacterial properties of the membrane.First of all, we used polysulfone (PSf) as raw materials, prepared PSf ultrafiltration membrane by phase conversion method, and then prepared PSf-PDA composite ultrafiltration membrane by DA self-polymerization, on this basis, grafted PEG, mPEG-NH2, HO-PEG-NH2, compare the results of contact Angle, membrane flux. Then we found grafted amino polyethylene glycol (mPEG-NH2) show the best result. And with the increase of concentration of mPEG-NH2 grafting, membrane flux is reduced gradually, the contact Angle decrease first and then increases, with 4 mg·L-1 the lowest. As the growth of the grafting time, the flux reduce gradually, the contact Angle is becoming lower and lower.Then, on the basis of the membrane we continue coated the membrane with silver nitrate solution, formed a nano silver composite layer on the surface of the membrane, then E.coli was used as model organisms to inspect the antimicrobial properties of membrane, we found that nano silver on the membrane surface have significant antibacterial properties. Mechanism analysis, antimicrobial properties on the surface of the membrane is primarily can dissolve out silver nano particles, cause damage to the bacteria.Finally, this paper analyzes the stability of PSf-PDA composite membrane surface composite layer, stability and regeneration of the nano silver layer, made the inquiry found that nano silver can through the membrane material in silver nitrate solution soak regeneration, and composite layer of dopamine remains to be explored.
