| Pressure vessel is a kind of vessel in special equipment directory. The accidents caused by the pressure vessel failure are usually accompanied by leakage and explosion, which cause extremely serious harm. Therefore the study of pressure vessel inspection and safety assessment is of great significance. This paper analyzes pressure vessels from the characteristics and existing safety problems of it,especially the spheres’ risk and damage failure mode.It also studies various conventional inspection methods and nondestructive testing and physical and chemical testing methods. Moreover,it collects a common injury prone model of the pressure vessels by combining the actual experience of quality inspection and identifies the main damage mode and damage mechanism of inspected pressure vessels. In this way,the failure mode identification and analysis of pressure vessels are carried out by combing typical cases.By analyzing failure cases, this paper verifies the failure mechanism of pressure vessels, searches for the weak factors affecting the safety of pressure vessels.Suggestions are made to improve the supervision and inspection work of spherical tanks on this basis.First, the proportion of spot checks of radiographic inspection of spherical tanks and other the Third Category of Pressure Vessels to 100 percent ray plus 100 percent ultrasonic inspection is increased. If it is conditioned, the proportion of TOFT can be gradually increased and radiographic inspection can be even replaced by TOFT.Second, the failure probability of high pressure vessels like spherical tanks is controlled.Third, safety evaluation methods of spherical tanks can be created by using file management, equipment maintenance, equipment category and medium toxicity, damage mode and service time as the main influenced factors of equipment safety evaluation.Furthermore, weighting method is used here to evaluate the safe operation of spherical tanks with damages in a quantitative way.The results can be used to repair damaged canisters and reduce the damage of the canister, which ensure the safe operation of the pressure vessel. |
