T-joints are common forms of welded joints in steel structures and are subject to structural stress,shear stress and welding stress.Due to the complex structure of the T-weld and the difficulty in welding,defects are likely to occur during the welding process.These defects are directly related to the use performance of steel structures or equipment,and have a serious impact on the safe operation of equipment and e ven people’s lives and property.In order to ensure the safety of the welded structure,it is of great engineering value to carry out the ultrasonic phased array non-destructive testing technology of metal structure welds.The main work and achievements of the paper are as follows:1、The detection methods,working methods and imaging principle of the ultrasonic phased array non-destructive testing technology and the selection principle of the probe are summarized.The calculation formulas of the near-field zone of the phased array probe are given,and a detailed detection scheme is formulated.2、Using EN LIGHT simulation software to simulate the sound beam coverage of the T-joint weld,the optimal detection surface,probe arrangement position and the offset d istance from the front of the wedge to the center of the weld were determined,and the minimum acoustic beam was calculated through the sound beam deflection theory.Start angle and maximum end angle.The simulation results are consistent with the actual test detection,verifying the feasibility of the detection simulation scheme3、Non-destructive ultrasonic phased array inspection is performed on weld joints of T-type test block joints containing artificially implanted defects.The inspection area is divided into two inspection surfaces and seven inspection positions.The A,C,and C scans are performed on the welds using a manual encoder.S sweep,D sweep,and 3D view。The type,length,and position of the defect in the weld of the T-type test block were analyzed and compared with the actual actual defect.The test result was similar to the actual one,and more information was obtained than the conventional ultrasonic test.The test shows that ultrasonic phased array non-destructive testing technology can be used for the detection of T-joint welds,and it has the advantages of rapid detection,high work efficiency and high detection sensitivity.4、The non-destructive ultrasonic phased array inspection process for T-joint welds was perfected,and the ultrasonic phased-array fan-shaped scan maps for common defects were developed,providing guidance for the identification of defect maps in phased array applications.
