Research On The Impact Of Overcapacity On Carbon Emissions In China’s Steel Industry

In recent years,repetitive construction and scale is too large,overcapacity problem in our country sometimes appear many capital-intensive heavy industry area,therefore,the priority has been transferred to government departments in structure construction how to avoid duplicate construction and control the industrial scale,curb overcapacity problem.With the rapid development of China’s steel industry,drive the rapid growth of economy in our country,but we also have to face the rapid development of steel industry brought about by the problems such as unreasonable industry scale and overcapacity.In this paper,using the comprehensive index method,utilization of capacity utilization,inventory turnover,profit rate of change and price index of the four indicators to measure the degree of the steel industry overcapacity,and analyze the overcapacity situation,in 2007-2015 as below for the iron and steel industry overcapacity of the analysis of the emission reduction potential.Use process analysis for 2007-2015,the entire steel industry to measure the carbon emissions in the process of production,at the completion of excess capacity calculation analysis and carbon emissions after calculation and analysis,draw the conclusion: China’s steel industry under the overcapacity is tremendous,at present,China’s steel industry scale,and further raises the problem of excess production capacity,making the steel industry carbon emissions increased dramatically,if the steel industry in a moderate scale,so will reduce a lot of production waste and reduce carbon emissions.In this article,through analysis,the iron and steel industry in our country there are still barriers to entry is low,the technical content is not high,low industrial concentration,and the problem of unbalanced supply and demand makes the industry scale is too large,the iron and steel industry overcapacity problem is serious,too much carbon emissions,for the implementation of emission reduction policy in China has caused difficulties.So deep into the degree of excess production capacity will directly affect the price of the product,lead to economic market conditions,related enterprises have difficulty in operation,enterprise investment narrowed,low efficiency,serious still can have a very bad impact on the economic benefits of the whole society.Too large industrial scale not only causes overcapacity and other problems,but also brings serious carbon emission problems,which will lead to a sharp increase in carbon emissions in the case of non-moderate production capacity.In view of this,it is necessary to analyze the problem of overcapacity in China’s steel industry.This article through to the steel industry overcapacity situation analysis of carbon emissions,it is concluded that the industrial structure adjustment effect on manufacturing energy consumption and further puts forward policy advice,help the long-term development of China’s iron and steel industry to provide the scientific inquiry and support.
