New energy vehicles are greatly popularized by nationality with the advantages of energy-saving,emission-reducing and high security.In 2018,special license plate for new energy vehicles is planned to be introduced nationwide by the Ministry of Public Security for the quick identification of new energy vehicles.With the marketing of new energy vehicles,the demand of new energy vehicle license plate will be much larger.The common license plate production mode,which depends on the manual replacement of molds and plates,couldn't meet the market demand because of its low efficiency and high work intensity.Consequently,the development of an automatic license plate press machine is of significance.This research aims to design an automatic license plate press machine which combines the functions of the extraction and placement of license plate,combining of characters,replacement of characters and embossing technology.The research focus on some key technologies in equipment development and the completed work mainly includes:First of all,the determination of design requirement and integral framework of the press machine is based on market research and enterprise analysis.The press machine is divided into five parts,which includes the feeding assembly,the manipulator assembly,the mold library assembly and the embossing tool assembly.Through the comparison and analysis of the schemes,the mechanical structures of each assembly are designed in detail.After the research of key technologies of mold box,plane bar mechanism is applied to realize the opening-closing of the mold box.Besides that,the detailed internal structures and opening-closing drive scheme of the box are designed.The rationality of the structure layout is verified by virtual assembly technology.Then,the problematic parts are improved by performing finite element analysis on key components so that their strength and stiffness can meet requirements.Secondly,the designs of the pneumatic system for license plate press machine consist of the design of gas source air circuit,cylinder circuit and vacuum sucker circuit.The new molds of enterprises are used as experimental materials to verify whether the selected sucker's adsorption force can work properly in running period between the new molds and complex character plates.Finally,based on the modified Archard wear model,DEFORM software is applied to simulate the stress-strain and wear of the molds in the simulation process of license plate pressing.According to the analysis results,the structure of the mold is improved to extend its service life.The influence level of various factors on the wear of convex and concave molds can be obtained by orthogonal test analysis.The specific degree from high to low can be expressed as: mold clearance,mold material hardness,friction coefficient.
