The corrosion environment which is created under the combined action of coordination agent, release agent, rubber and the sedimentary layers can lead to Corrosion, defaced and viscose phenomenon of the tire molds. So the mold must be cleaned on a regular basis, which is bound to cause wear and tear on the mold, mold accuracy decreased, reducing the life of molds.Therefore, it will be a great practical significance by improving surface quality of radial parting mold.Electroless Ni-B binary alloy process on the surface of mold steels was studied. Optimal formulas for the plating rate and the hardness were measured by orthogonal test. The surface morphology, crystal structure and composition of the coating were characterized by SEM, XRD, EDS. And the hardness, thickness, adhesion, porosity, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and viscose performance were tested. The results showed that:coatings were cellular structure and amorphous form; they have high hardness, good adhesion, low porosity, excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance; the viscose performance was resolved. The meridian tire mold surface of electroless plating Ni-Co-B process were studied in this paper on the basis of above study. The addition of cerium grained refining, increased the deposition rate and the corrosion resistance of the coating were further raised.Wear plates have to be regularly replaced to avoid the abrasion between the parts, but the treatment processes of wear plates are complicated with more procedures.Electroless N1-B-MoS2alloy process on the surface of mold steels was studied, the surface morphology, crystal structure and composition of the coating were characterized by SEM, XRD, EDS. The results showed electroless Ni-B-MoS2alloy process on the surface of mold steels accord the wear plate requirements.
