Study On Wear And Tear Of Wearing Plate In Tire Mold | Posted on:2020-12-04 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:P J Xia | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2381330590952945 | Subject:Materials Processing Engineering | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | The open-close action of the tire mould results in wear and tear of wearing plate.There is different rubber trimming on the surface of the tire after the vulcanization press because of the wear of the wearing plate.The service life of the segment mould depends on the wear rate of the material.In order to reduce the problem of flash edge on the tire,the wearing plate of the conical surface type of radial tire segmental mold was studied in the thesis.The copper-graphite alloy and Mn-Si alloy which is the material of wearing plate have been investigated in reciprocating friction test.The law of the thickness changed with the abrasive process and the sliding interfaces characteristics have been analyzed to get the wear rate and the wear mechanisms.The wear model of the copper-graphite alloy and Mn-Si alloy has been modified by comparing the experimental data.The finite element simulation was used to investigate the factors which affects the wear process.The force and the heat transfer of the wearing plate on open-close action of the tire mould was also analyzed.The main contents and the research results of the thesis include the following aspects:(1)The distribution of graphite on the smoother surface and the characteristics of grooves on rubbing surface were evaluated using SEM and EDS,respectively.The date in friction experiment of the specimens has been measured and analyzed,and some measures were taken to reduce the measurement error.(2)The calculation formula about the friction was studied.In the simulation process,the appropriate calculation method was selected and the simulation mold of the wearing plate has been established.(3)The wear rate of the wearing plate has been compared in the process of the segment mould closing and clamping.The relationship of the speeds and the worn loss has been simulated and analyzed.The results show that the service life dependson the wear rate at the moment of the segment mould clamping.The clamping speed has a little effect on wear rate.However,the greater the load,the more obvious the speed have effect on wear.(4)The heat transfer in the preheating process of tire mould and the force of the open wearing plate in different specifications of tire mold was analyzed.The results show that the preheating process of the tire mold is beneficial to extending the service life of the open wearing plate.The greater the force exerted by the T-type oriented block on the open wearing plate,the more serious the wear will be.(5)The law of wear rate changing with hardness of the container wearing plate was studied.The results show that the greater the hardness of the container wearing plate,the lower the wear rate.There is line contact which caused a serious abrasion in the movement of the curvilinear wearing plate.Since the difference between the maximum wear rate and the average wear rate of Mn-Si alloy is smaller,it is more suitable to be the wear resistant material of the container wearing plate. | Keywords/Search Tags: | wearing plate in tire mold, wear mold, finite element simulation, hardness, load | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
