Research On The Application Of The Spatial Pattern Of The Qiang Ethnic Settlements In Western Sichuan In Modern Clothing

Developing with the history,the Qiang ethnic group has formed a unique minority settlement space after migrating from the HeHuang river basin to the Min river basin.The settlement space of the Qiang ethnic groups with unique national cultural characteristics in western Sichuan is a integration of social development and ethnic aesthetics.Meeting spirits of time and aesthetic needs of modern people,spatial patterns of traditional Qiang settlements in western Sichuan are applied to modern costume design in this paper,which enriches cultural connotation in costume design,protects and inherits the spatial patterns of Qiang ethnic settlements in western Sichuan.This paper analyzes the spatial characteristics of the Qiang ethnic settlements in Western Sichuan from the historical origin,natural environment,humanistic environment and many field investigations,studies and summarizes the art forms and characteristics of the Qiang ethnic settlement space in Western Sichuan from the aspects of material composition,features of location,layout and beliefs.From the view of art design,this paper summarizes the colors,shapes and textures of the spatial patterns of Qiang ethnic settlements in western Sichuan.From the perspective of modern clothing design,the author makes preliminary attempts on a variety of production techniques,clothing materials,pattern layout,and color application,and conducts a series of design explorations on the application of turning generalized spatial patterns of the Qiang ethnic settlements in western Sichuan to modern fashion designs in costume.The author sums up a feasible plan that accords with the artistic features of spatial patterns of the Qiang ethnic settlements in western Sichuan,and finally produces a series of modern costumes in the form of characterized spatial pattern.The innovation of this paper is to combine the settlement space of humane geography disciplines with the costume designof the artistic design.Based on the spatial patterns of Qiang ethnic settlements in western Sichuan,the author sums up their artistic features such as colors,shapes,layouts,textures and so on in the design practice,and explores the corresponding modern clothing in costume design in aspects of colors,shapes,layouts,and textures.It proposes a new deductive direction for the spatial patterns,the symbolic element of the traditional folk culture in Qiang ethnic settlements of western Sichuan,and explores the diversified expression of traditional folk elements.
