Because the landfill amount of the municipal solid waste in Huating County has closed to the design capacity of the landfill,hence,a new solid waste landfill project urgently needs to be constructed.The proposed landfill will accept the municipal solid waste coming from Huating County,whose average treatment capacity and designed service life will be 187 t every day and 15 years,respectively.Its total volume is 1.46×106 ml,and the actual effective volume is about 1.28×106 m3.At present,the project has been in the feasibility study phase.Through investigating the feasible proposals and surveying locale,some deficiencies of feasible proposals are still existed:Firstly,the unreasonable location of the retaining dam causes the large catchment area and the high output of leachate;Secondly,the scheme of the compartment levelling exists problems.It is that the unreasonable design of the bottom height and the slope incline leads to a large amount of spoil;Thirdly,the site of the cover earth is unreasonable,large area and long distance transport.And there is no good guarantee for the daily coverage in the run;Fourthly,the approach road is too long,the compartment covers a large area,and the landfill efficiency is low.Basing on above reasons,a new optimization design proposal of the landfill is put forward.In order to meet the capacity requirement,in the optimum proposal,when improving the design bottom height and moving up the retaining dam,the anchoring platform series and the landfill height are increased.Improving the design bottom height is realized by carrying out fill projects on the basis of the original bottom to broaden the bottom of landfill;and then dig the slope.Those can slow the slope,and do not increase the digging amount of the slope as increasing the anchoring platform series.While moving up the retaining dam,making full use of the gentle slope on the up of valleys can decrease the occupation area of the compartment,improving the landfill efficiency,mostly reducing the catchment areas of the landfill,indirectly reducing the output of the leachate and low the recirculation treatment load.This paper completes the design of the prioritization proposal,and reaches the depth of the preliminary design.Through the assist of some software,such as CAD and EXCLE,et al.,the comparison and analysis between the feasibility study proposal and the prioritization proposal in main quantities?occupied land and investment were carried out,and the advantages and disadvantages of the two proposals were presented.As a result,the prioritization proposal is better than the feasibility study proposal on the main quantities,and the former greatly save the occupied land.The prioritization proposal optimally utilized the landfill valleys,which intensively reduces the output of leachate,solves the problems of the abundant discard earth and solves the problems caused by the abundant discard earth at the most extent.Of course,the prioritization proposal is not very perfect.While adopting the idea of using spoil to fill the landfill bottom,it is suggested to fully demonstrate that whether spoil suits as the fill material.It should be reasonably chosen the sites of rebuilding farmlands with spoil and the source sites of the daily cover soils.
