The development of the western region is at an accelerated development stage,and strengthening eco-geological environmental protection is a key task for the development of the western region.Jinchuan is located in the transition zone from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau to the Sichuan Basin,where the terrain is steep,the geological structure is close,and the rock mass is relatively broken.As a result,geological disasters occur frequently in various regions and the eco-geological environment is fragile.Quantitative assessment of the eco-geological environment quality of Jinchuan can provide a scientific basis for the sustainable development of human,resources and environment in the region.In this paper,with the support of remote sensing and GIS technology,the eco-geological environment information of Jinchuan is extracted,the evaluation index system is constructed,the quantitative evaluation and comprehensive zoning of regional eco-geological environment quality are completed,and suggestions are put forward for the protection and prevention of regional eco-geological environment.The conclusions and results are as follows:(1)The evaluation index system of eco-geological environment quality in Jinchuan is composed of three parts: topography,geological environment,and ecological environment.Eleven evaluation indexes are selected to calculate the weight of each index by the optimal combination weighting method.The results show that the geological environment is the main factor affecting the quality of regional ecogeological environment.(2)The evaluation results of eco-geological environment quality in Jinchuan are divided into four grades: excellent,good,medium,and poor.The areas with good quality occupy the largest area and are distributed in all towns.The areas with poor quality are mainly concentrated in the south of Ergari,north of Guanyinqiao,and southeast of Wanlin.The areas with medium quality are mainly distributed in Ruzhe,Maori,Akeli,Hexi and so on.The areas with good quality are mainly distributed in the river valleys of northern Jimu,southwest of Dusong,and northern Wanlin.(3)The eco-environment quality of Jinchuan presents the spatial characteristics of similar values(high or low).The hotspot analysis is used to extract the clustered areas,and the regional eco-geological environment is divided into safe areas,dangerous areas,risk areas,and regulatory areas according to their gathering conditions.According to the actual situation of each district,the corresponding protection and prevention measures should be taken.
