| Nowadays,tourism has become China's strategic pillar industry.Its development has become an important part of the measurement of China's national economy and social development level.However,with the vigorous development of the tourism industry in our country,the problem of unbalanced development among various regions has also become increasingly prominent,and the gap between the development of tourism among various regions is also continuously expanding.Traditional sightseeing tourism products can no longer meet the needs of present and future tourists.On the contrary,the demand for leisure-tourism products by tourists is constantly increasing.This change in this characteristic of the tourism industry is not sudden,but imperceptible and gradual,which has also caused some tourism regions that are dominated by traditional sightseeing tourism products cannot discover the huge impact of the problem in a timely manner but it stays in self-appreciation of its own glorious history and cannot adjust product strategies.Obviously,the traditional concept of specific speed cannot make these regions aware of the seriousness of this problem,especially when the demand for tourism in our country continues to skyrocket.Therefore,the entire tourism industry needs to change its concepts from the traditional speed to specific efficiency.Guangxi province,as one of the earliest areas to develop tourism in a large-scale in China with quite a number of traditional sightseeing tourism products,his bright period has become a history.The gap between his tourism development and other regions in China is expanding.In the same way,it also applies to himself.Guangxi is not an example,but a typical representative of the development of tourism in all regions of China.For this reason,taking Guangxi as the "revolutionary old district" as research object,and studying the development of his tourism efficiency,it has strong reference value for the development of the tourism industry either locally or in other regions of the country.This study mainly uses data envelopment analysis to measure the tourism industry efficiency between 14 cities in Guangxi during 2006-2016,and then uses the panel data model to select the factors that influence the efficiency of the tourism industry in each city.The findings are as follows:(1)Judging from the results of the final calculation of the tourism industry efficiency of Guangxi cities,if the efficiency development of the tourism industry in each city of Guangxi is classified,the first category is Nanning,which is the leading region for the development of Guangxi tourism industry efficiency;the second category is Guilin,which is the development outstanding areas;the third category for Hechi and Hezhou,to catch up with the development of the region;the fourth category for Guigang and Chongzuo,for the development of slow growth areas;the fifth category for Liuzhou,Qinzhou,Baise,Fangchenggang,Yulin,and Laibin City are the areas for the development of backward areas;the sixth category is Zhangzhou and Beihai City,and it is for the development of severely declining regions.(2)From the perspective of the factors influencing the efficiency of tourism industry in Guangxi,with the exception of GDP,which only affects the overall efficiency of the tourism industry in Guangxi,the Engel coefficient of urban residents,the investment in fixed assets in the entire society,the entropy of tourist locations,the attractiveness of tourism resources and the market share of tourism are all the main reasons affecting the total efficiency of tourism industry and the total factor productivity of tourism in cities in Guangxi. |
