Bionics is a multidisciplinary subject that focuses on biological characteristics and aims to transform biological research into practical technology.With the rapid development of science and technology,more and more research means were put in biological research,and more biological characteristics were found.Based on the biological characteristics,the bionic product also increasingly highlights its excellent performance.The research of bionic compound eye is inspired by the visual organ of insects in nature,and it has become a research hotspot of researchers with its characteristics of high sensitivity,large field of view,high integration and so on.The appearance of bionic compound eye provides new development direction,miniaturization and integration of optical system.At present,the research in domestic and abroad is more about preparation technology and structure exploration.Although some researches have applied to practical application,there are still many problems to be solved.Research on the design,preparation and application of bionic compound eye structure were carried out in this paper.Firstly,the optical model of bionic compound eye was abstracted through the research of physiological structure and optical properties.Based on the mismatch of curved bionic compound eye and planar detector in domestic and foreign research,the structure of the multi-focusing bionic compound eye was proposed,and the corresponding model was set up for simulation analysis.Based on the designed compound eye model,a new rapid fabrication technology of bionic compound eye was presented.This process can realize the quick forming of curved bionic compound eye through the curved micro-holes array fabricated by means of precision machining,and the non-contact compression pressing method and micro-flow injection technology.Moreover,the process is simple,which eliminates the traditional graphics transfer and substrate deformation.It not only greatly reduces the process cycle,but also reduces the cumulative error caused by the multi-step process.Furthermore,the analysis of the compound eye structure shows that the structure has good morphology and imaging ability under large field of view.In addition,research on the practical application of the compound eye structure was carried out based on the study on the imaging characteristics of bionic compound eye.The visual system was used to obtain multi-angle image sequences,the panoramic image Mosaic algorithm was designed to realize the image stitching of the large view field.Based on the sensitivity of compound eye to atmospheric polarization,a model of polarization navigation based on bionic compound eye was proposed,and the attitude angle was solved by combining with atmospheric polarization mode.
