The applications of photoelectric imaging equipment are becoming more and more complex,and the requirements for long-range,high speed,field of view and resolution of target detection and recognition are getting higher and higher,so the traditional imaging system cannot meet the current application requirements.At present,the artificial compound eye system with large field of view,small size and high sensitivity has attracted wide attention.The planar artificial compound eye cannot take the advantage of the large field of view of the biological compound eye.The structure of the curved artificial compound eye is closer to the biological compound eye,but the resulting curved image cannot be received by the planar detector.In order to solve the problems as mentioned above and give full play advantages of the optical structure of the compound eye to achieve a small-sized imaging system with large field of view and high resolution,the specific research contents of this paper on the curved artificial compound eye imaging system are as follows.Firstly,the research status of artificial compound eye system is analyzed and the improvement direction is proposed.The basic types and imaging principles of biological compound eyes are studied.The configuration of curved micro-lens array is designed.The design principle mathematical model of spaced curved artificial compound eye is established according to the arrangement method of spaced circular layered micro-lens array.The relationship between the field of view of the sub-eye and the angle between the adjacent sub-eye axes is analyzed.In this paper,the mismatching problem between the curved image and the planar detector is solved by combining the micro-lens array with the traditional imaging system.Secondly,the main aberrations in the system are analyzed theoretically,and the solution is proposed to correct them.The simulation analysis and tolerancing of the system are carried out by using optical design software to improve image quality and machinability of the system,and complete the design of the curved artificial compound eye imaging system with large field of view.Finally,the experiment platform of artificial compound eye imaging system is built to collect images.The super-resolution algorithm combining pixel rearrangement with improved iterative back-projection method is used for image processing to improve image quality.The subjective and objective evaluation method is used to evaluate the image quality.The total field of view of the artificial compound eye optical system with large field of view is 152°,the focal length of the combined system is 61.14 mm,the angular resolution is 2.304",and the total length of the system is 16.39 mm.Compared with the traditional large-field imaging system,the curved artificial compound eye imaging system has less distortion.The evaluation parameters of the processed image are higher than those of the original image.
