Product service system could improve the pricing power and revenue model of manufacturers,the overall competitive advantages of manufacturers are thus improved.That helps manufacturers achieve business differentiation in the growing global competition and customer-centric business environment.Therefore,many manufacturers have begun to attach importance to the transition to product service system.Design of product service system is a key link in the transition process.This paper focuses on the product service system configuration and robustness in the design of product service system.An optimization method is proposed to optimize the product service system configuration,the corresponding configuration optimization algorithm is designed.The robust performance of product service system under different interference conditions is explored in the robust simulation analysis based on product service system model.Concept of multilayer complex network focuses on the complex characteristics of multi-level and multi-layer network,which is helpful to analyze the relationships among the components of large-scale complex system.This paper builds a product service system model based on multilayer network,which provides a model basis for product service system configuration optimization and robustness analysis.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Elements in product service system as product parts,service activities and resources,are mapped to nodes in the network.Relationships among the three types of elements are analyzed and classified.The rules of mapping the relationships among elements to the edges among nodes are described for modelling the product service system.Especially,the mapping rules of the logical relationships among service activities are proposed to model the service flows properly.A multilayer network model of product service system,consisting of product layer,service layer,resource layer and set of edges among layers,is then constructed based on the multilayer network theory.A method based on statistical characteristic parameters of complex networks is proposed to divide network modulars,and corresponding measurement indicators are provided to evaluate the network modularization.(2)The Part Rank algorithm is proposed to calculate the importance of components and the cross-network importance of service activities.A product service system configuration optimization method based on multilayer network model is proposed,which combines service activity selection and service resource allocation.The execution time,execution cost and average execution reliability are considered as objective functions,then the configuration task under constraints is transformed into a multi-objective optimization task.And corresponding algorithm is proposed to find the optimal solutions.Service activity selection is completed by depth-first traversal based on service layer,which ensures the integrity of logical relationships among service activities.Pareto based multi-objective discrete cuckoo search algorithm is improved to make resource allocation strictly meet optimization constraints.This method can help to retain more effective non-dominated solutions and make more favorable resource allocations for high-importance service activities,which is verified by case experiments.(3)Interference rules of random interference and intentional interference modes are designed for the three different layers.The intentional interference rules in product layer,service layer and resource layer,are respectively related to the node degrees of product parts,node degrees of service activities and load degrees of resources.The structural robustness indexes and functional robustness indexes are designed for the product service system multilayer network.Through case simulation and analysis,it is found that intentional interference has a greater impact on the robustness of product service system than random interference.Some suggestions are then given to improve the robustness.The multilayer network model constructed in this study lays a theoretical foundation for the research of product service system.Proposed method for product service system configuration optimization achieves faster and more accurate configuration.The feasibility and effectiveness of that method is proved by case study.The network robustness reflects the robustness of product service system and provides theoretical support for further research of product service system.
