With the wide applications of laser technology in military,agricultural,material processing and other fields,different fields have different requirements for the characteristics of laser,and how to evaluate the quality of laser is very important.Compared with other beam quality evaluation parameters,the BQ factor takes into account the effect of atmospheric turbulence on the laser beam.Therefore,the BQ factor is more important for applications where pursuit of the actual far-field beam energy concentration or detecting uniformity of beam intensity.The paper mainly studies the design of the beam width measurement scheme,the design of the BQ factor measurement scheme,light spot image processing and characteristic analysis,the following are introduced separately:1)Introduce several traditional laser beam quality evaluation methods,and point out their deficiencies.Based on the characteristics of Gaussian laser,the calculation formula of laser beam quality evaluation parameters is deduced.Based on this,a CCD-based laser beam width measurement scheme is designed.2)Analysis of the traditional BQ factor measurement scheme found that if the laser beam is transmitted through a long distance,the light spot will be diverged and the size will be larger than the effective area of the power detector,so the calculation of the BQ factor will not be accurate.Aiming at this problem,this paper uses a BQ factor measurement scheme based on image gray distribution.3)Various electromagnetic waves in the natural environment and the CCD camera can cause noise in the spot image.Analysis of traditional spatial and frequency domain filtering algorithms shows that they cannot take into account smoothing noise and retaining detailed information of the image,so a total variational denoising algorithm based on PDE is used in this paper.However,the traditional total variation denoising algorithm will produce a "staircase effect",aiming at this problem,this paper proposes an improved total variation denoising.Based on image processing technology,analyze light spot characteristics such as light spot centroid position,gray distribution,edges,3D and pseudo-color image.The beam quality evaluation parameter data calculated by the beam quality measurement system in this paper was used to analyze the characteristics of the laser beam.Finally,this paper designs and develops a laser beam quality analysis system based on the CCD camera.This system uses VS2015 as the development platform,uses C / C ++ as the programming language,uses MFC to write human-computer interaction interface,and Open Cv to program image processing algorithms.
