Western Ordos is the "refuge" of the ancient Mediterranean relic flora.Among them,seven rare and endangered plants,such as Ammopiptanthus mongolicus,Tetraena mongolica,Zygophyllum xanthoxylon,Helianthemum songaricum,Amygdalus mongolica,Potaninia mongolica and Reaumuria songarica,are representative plants in the region.Plants are difficult to renew naturally and their speed is slow.At present,they are in a degraded state.How to promote their regeneration manually is a key issue for protection.Cutting seedling raising is a simple and fast method for species renewal,which can meet the needs of on-site protection and ex-situ protection.In this study,seven kinds of plants were used for cutting experiments,and it was planned to find the most suitable cutting methods to improve the rejuvenation of these rare and endangered plants,and to provide technical support for the protection and expansion of the ancient Mediterranean relict flora in Western Ordos.research shows:(1)The cutting substrate is the best choice of sand and soil,the rooting rate is high,which is in line with its native soil type.The moldy time of the sandy soil is 10d,the leaf shedding time is 14d,and the moldy time of the peat soil substrate is 5d,and the leaf shedding time is 4d.(2)Among the seven plantings,the rooting speed of Potaninia mongolica,Tetraena mongolica,Reaumuria songarica and Helianthemum songaricum is the fastest,and the roots of Tetraena mongolica can grow tender roots in 6 days.Amygdalus mongolica,and Zygophyllum xanthoxylon begins to root around 24d.The Potaninia mongolica of new leaves is the fastest,and it can grow in Id.The Helianthemum songaricum and Reaumuria songarica are slower,which takes about 24d.(3)Among the three hormones NAA,ABT,and IBA,NAA and ABT have the best effect on promoting rooting rate of cuttings.Among them,under the treatment of hormone ABT1500mg/L,the rooting rate of cuttings of Potaninia mongolica can reach 92%,The Zygophyllum xanthoxylon is up to 83%,under the treatment of hormone NAA1000mg/L,the rooting rate of Tetraena mongolica is up to 80%,and under the treatment of hormone IBA1500mg/L,the rooting rate of Reaumuria songarica is up to 72%.but it is difficult to root and survive the cuttings of Ammopiptanthus mongolicus.(4)By comparing the results of cuttings in different months,the rooting rate of cuttings in July is greater than in September,so July is more suitable for cuttings.(5)The changes in soluble sugar content and starch content in different cuttings after cutting showed that hormone concentration,plant type,etc.had a significant effect on the rooting rate of cuttings,and there were significant differences in soluble sugar and starch content in different plants.The content of starch and soluble sugar in cuttings was significantly correlated with the rooting rate of cuttings.
