Leymus chinensis grassland is the main local pastoral area and animal husbandry production base in Inner Mongolia.Due to the overuse of human beings and changes in the global environment, grasslands have been degraded to varying degrees,so it is particularly important to improve the cultivate degraded natural grasslands in time. This experiment was conducted to improve organic fertilizer in the degraded natural Leymus chinensis grassland in Hulunbeier,Inner Mongolia. In 2018-2019,the research was carried out at the experimental base of the National Field Science Observatory of Hulunbuir Grassland Ecosystem of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Two organic fertilizers were provided for the experimental station, which was tried as one of the measures for grassland vegetation restoration and high-efficiency production in the area.To explore the series of effects of organic fertilizer on grassland plsnt and soil, provide a theoretical basis for the win-win situation of grassland ecology and production. The effects of two organic fertilizers on the vegetation biomass, plant community diversity, soil chemical properties and soil enzyme activities of degraded grassland were analyzed and compared. The main research results are as follows:1?The effect of organic fertilizer on the above-ground plants of Hulunbeier Leymus chinensis grassland showed that the application of organic fertilizer significantly changed the total biomass of the aboveground grassland.Under the 45 t/hm~2 fertilization level, the total biomass of the aboveground grassland significantly increased and the yield was the highest. It is 244.11 g/m~2(2018)and 191.77 g/m~2(2019).The Leymus chinensis species had the highest important value under a1 treatment, but there was no obvious change in plant community diversity. The results showed that it is difficult to see obvious changes in the short term. The results of this experiment showed that the total biomass on the grassland was the highest when the two organic fertilizers were applied at 45 t/hm~2.2?The effect of organic fertilizer on the soil is the core of the restoration of degraded grassland. The soil condition is the basis of the restoration process of degraded grassland. In this experiment, different levels of organic fertilizers were applied to the degraded grassland. The results showed that the two organic fertilizers significantly increased the content of available nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in Leymus chinensis grassland under 45 t/hm~2 fertilization, but the effects of different organic fertilizer treatments on soil total nutrients and organic matter were not significant variety.Organic fertilizer had no significant effect on soil enzyme activity. The results showed that the short-term application of organic fertilizer had little effect on soil enzyme activities. It shows that the total soil nutrient content and soil enzyme activity are difficult to change in a short time.Comprehensive comparison and analysis showed that under the conditions of 45 t/hm~2 fertilization, the effective nutrient content in the soil increased significantly, and the total above-ground yield of Leymus chinensis stepped up.
