In recent years,with the rapid development of the construction of mountainous areas in China,the number,height and scale of high-filling foundation are gradually increasing.At the same time,many problems are also brought about,among which the most concerned problem is the settlement,deformation and stability of high-filling foundation.The past design and construction experience are mostly single stone filling or soil filling foundation,and the research on the earth-rock filling foundation is still limited.Therefore,it is particularly important to carry out the research on the mechanical characteristic and construction technology of the earth-rock filling in the high-filling foundation in mountainous areas,especially the research on the settlement and deformation of the earth-rock high-filling foundation.In this paper,taking the gravelly soil high-filling foundation as the research object,through theoretical analysis,laboratory test,similar model test and finite element numerical simulation method,the basic mechanical characteristics of gravelly soil and the settlement and deformation law of gravelly soil high-filling foundation are studied.The main work and results are as follows:(1)According to the relevant literature,the settlement and deformation mechanism of high-filling body and its main influencing factors are summarized,and at the same time,some measures that can effectively control the settlement and deformation of high-filling body are given.(2)Through compaction test,consolidation test and direct shear test,it is found that the maximum dry density of gravelly soil reaches the peak value when the content of rock in gravelly soil is about 70%.Under different water content and earth rock ratio,the stress-strain relationship of gravelly soil conforms to the logarithmic function relationship.The internal friction angle of different gravelly soil samples increases with the increase of rock content and decreases with the increase of water content.The cohesion decreases with the increase of stone content and increases withthe increase of water content.(3)Through the model test of different earth rock ratio(70:30,50:50,30:70),it is found that during the filling process of high-filling foundations,the earth pressure in the slope increases linearly with the increase of filling height.In addition,increasing the stone content in gravelly soil can effectively reduce the settlement and deformation of filling body.(4)through the FLAC3 D finite element numerical simulation,it can be obtained that with the increasing of filling height,the maximum settlement value of the high-filling body increases exponentially with the increase of the filling height.At the same time,the stress of the high-filling foundation increases with the increase of the filling height,and the closer to the foundation base,the greater the stress.
