Earthquake disaster is the most harmful to human beings in eight kinds of natural disasters.Most of the earthquakes in history will affect the city,and some of them will even destroy the city.With the rapid development of China's economy,China's urbanization process is also accelerating.By 2018,China's urbanization rate has reached 59%.The city is densely populated and economically developed.Once a large-scale earthquake occurs in or near the city,it will cause a large number of casualties and economic losses,and even destroy the whole city in a short time.China is located between the two major seismic zones in the world,the Pacific seismic zone and the Eurasian seismic zone.It is one of the countries with the most serious earthquake disasters in the world.Therefore,urban earthquake prevention and mitigation is an important work.Earthquake disaster prediction is a part of the work of earthquake prevention and mitigation.When an earthquake occurs,it can avoid significant loss of people and property.Dalian is located on the edge of Tanlu structure,Wafangdian City and more than 30 towns of Pulandian are located on the Tanlu earthquake belt,which is one of the areas with frequent earthquake disasters.Based on the traditional information system technology,geographic information system(GIS)integrates the concept of geospatial,which is a kind of information technology with strong spatial data processing ability.Therefore,GIS technology will be used to build the earthquake disaster prediction system.This paper designs and implements the Dalian earthquake disaster prediction GIS,which includes the functions of earthquake disaster information management,earthquake disaster prediction and loss evaluation.In this paper,the demand of GIS for earthquake disaster prediction is analyzed by using the software engineering design and development process.According to the requirements of the system design.The main functions of the system include map tools,simulation of ground motion influence field,earthquake damage analysis,earthquake damage loss assessment and defense auxiliary countermeasures.This system is implemented by B/S architecture,uses ArcGIS to build geographic information system,uses C#language programming,Oracle database,and tests the system.The innovation of this paper includes:(1)combining the method of earthquake disaster prediction with GIS technology,the management system of earthquake disaster prediction is designed and implemented.(2)the system realizes the visualized map tool and influence field simulation.(3)the system realizes the evaluation of earthquake damage and the auxiliary countermeasure module of defense.To sum up,the system has been applied in practice,which has improved the information level of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction work and achieved certain social benefits.
