Multimedia map has many advantages, such as various forms of expression, flexible user interface and vivid expression,by virtue of a variety of media and multi-channel interactive means. It helps to improve the efficiency and dissemination of geographic information transmission and utilization.Interface interaction design is the key factor to determine its effectiveness. At present, the research on multimedia map interface interaction mainly focuses on the graphical user interface with vision as the medium, while audition,as the second largest sensory channel for information acquisition, has been widely used in interface interaction, but the sound design related to audition has not received enough attention, lacking a relatively complete theoretical guidance framework,to a certain extent. It limits the breadth and depth of multimedia integration expression. Therefore, this paper combines the theory and method of interface interaction design, and constructs a relatively complete theoretical framework and implementation method of sound design in multimedia map interface interaction,in order to further optimize the information expression and behavior interaction of multimedia map.Firstly, the physical properties, psychological parameters and auditory characteristics of sound in multimedia maps are comprehensively combed.Based on the theory of map spatial cognition and the method of interface interaction design, the basic principles of sound design in multimedia maps are summarized by referring to the processing flow of information audition technology.Secondly, the elements of map user interface are divided into "behavioral component" and "content component" according to functional logic, and the sound elements are classified and analyzed in form.It is pointed out that the three voice forms, including voice, music and sound effects, play two major roles in interface interaction: auditory feedback and assistant cognition.Thirdly, according to the function connotation and information expression requirements of different interface components, five general guiding principles of sound design are extracted. At the same time,by analogizing the abstract process of map symbols, two kinds of sound effects and non-sound effects in the interface are regarded as auditory symbols.Audio design strategies based on auditory variables such as timbre, tone, sound intensity, rhythm, melody and other organizational forms are proposed. Then, the complete process of multimedia map sound design is summarized from analyzing and decomposing requirements, formulating sound plans, sound processing synthesis and quality evaluation optimization. Finally, taking "Overview of Chongming Eco-Island Basic Information Integration" as an example, this paper systematically discusses the specific methods and matters in sound design, and validates and discusses the above-mentioned principles based on this example. The results show that the proposed method can reduce the cognitive load, improve user experience and improve the usage of multimedia map.In the further research,it is necessary to increase the quantitative test and evaluation of the effect of sound usage in multimedia map interface interaction, and to study the synergistic use of auditory and visual channels in depth.
