A Taxonomic Study On Pseudophyllinae From China(Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae)

Pseudophyllinae belongs to Tettigoniidae,Orthoptera,Insecta.By far,19 tribes,260 genera(subgenera)and 998 species(subspecies)are recorded in the world,which are mainly distributed in Old and New tropics and subtropics.So far,4 tribes(i.e.Cymatomerini Brunner von Wattenwyl,1895,Phyllomimini Brunner von Wattenwyl,1895,Callimenellini Gorochov,1990 and Pseudophyllini Burmeister,1838),16 genera and 33 species(subspecies)are reported in China,which are distributed in Southwest,Southern and Central China.This thesis introduces morphology and bionomics about Pseudophyllinae from China,making a systematic study as well and 4 tribes,16 genera with 39 species(subspecies)are recorded,and documents are listed.Keys to tribes,genera,species are drawn up.In this study,4 new species are reported for the first time from China and 2 new species are described.Newly recorded species from China: Pseudophyllus simplex Beier,1954;Onomarchus bisulcatus Ingrich & Shishodia,1998;Phyllomimus(Phyllomimus)acutipennis Brunner von Wattenwyl,1895;Phyllomimus(Phyllomimus)verruciferus Beier,1954.New species: Orophyllus eurencopis sp.nov.;Orophyllus rimiconcavis sp.nov..1.Orophyllus eurencopis sp.nov.Holotype: ?,Ciping,Jinggangshan,Jiangxi,31 July,2018,collected by Tao Wang.Paratypes: 2?2?,Ciping,Jinggangshan,Jiangxi,31 July,collected by Tao Wang;1?,Shixi,Jinggangshan,Jiangxi,28 July,2018,collected by Tao Wang.Remarks: The new species differs from Orophyllus montanus Beier,1954 in:(1)female supra-anal plate oblong,narrowing towards the apex slightly,posterior margin slightly concave;(2)female subgenital plate approximately trapezoidal,posterior margin concave.2.Orophyllus rimiconcavis sp.nov.Holotype: ?,Damingshan,Wuming,Guangxi,8 August,2011,collected by Xun Bian.Paratypes: 1?,Damingshan,Wuming,Guangxi,7 August,2011,collected by Xun Bian and Xu-Ping Yan;1?,Damingshan,Shanglin,Guangxi,15 July,2012,collected by Jin-Rong Bai;2?,Tianlin,Guangxi,1 August,2014,collected by Bao-Jie Du and Li Han.Remarks: This new species is similar to Orophyllus eurencopis sp.nov.,but differs in(1)female subgenital plate semicircle,the cavity of posterior margin slit-like;epiproct twice as long as the width;(2)internal margin of hind femora with a longitudinal dark stripe;(3)male epiproct with an insignificant notch,subgenital plate with short and thin rod-shaped posterior process,about 1/2 times as long as styli.What's more,this new species can also be distinguished from Orophyllus montanus Beier,1954 by:(1)disc of pronotum smooth;(2)internal margin of hind femora with a longitudinal dark stripe;(3)posterior margin of female subgenital plate with a notch in the middle.
