Research And Development Of Large-scale Tank Container

Tank container is one type of container,which is specially designed and manufactured for liquid cargo.It is also well known as the safest carrier for liquid food,hazardous liquid chemicals all over the world.Tank container has been better developed than other traditional transportation equipment,along with the development of environmental awareness world-widely,popularization of regulations and guidance of national policies.Comparing to other equipment,tank container could be part of the intermodal transportation and has a flexibility to be operated and transferred between various transportation modes,which happens to be one of the most obvious advantages of itself.Tank container has also developed quickly in past few years due to its convenience and safety advantage.However,the transportation mode to use 20 ft ISO tank container has restricted a further development of regional-economy-style tank-container-transportation-mode,while global economy patterns reorganizing and restricting day by day.The main reason is its incompletion match capacity with the transportation.This essay is based on Europe Union as the biggest economy trader to China,along with the fact that the annual trading amount keeps growing.To show what we have achieved in our research about the compatibility between tank container transportation capacity and existing railway system,by focusing on Chinese and European Railway system.We will present a big capacity type tank container(Large-Scale tank),as a brand new solution for regional economy development.The details are as followed:(1)The necessity of developing Large-Scale tank,by analyzing current regional transportation mode and incompletion match between tank container transportation capacity and railway system;(2)Studying a general solution for big capacity tank container,designing and manufacturing a 63m3Large-Scale tank as a prototype;(3)Optimizing the tank container structure by simulating with FEA analysis;(4)Verifying safety and reliability of tank container structure under various conditions by passing the static and railway impact test.
