Patent is an important index of technological innovation output.According to different technological contents,patents are divided into invention patent,appearance design patent and utility model patent.As the main source of financing for enterprises,the optimal allocation of credit resources can directly promote the upgrading of industrial structure,or indirectly promote the upgrading of industrial structure by promoting technological innovation of science and technology enterprises.The dissertation expounds the direct action mechanism of credit on industrial structure upgrading using the theories of credit rationing theory,technology innovation theory and industrial structure theory:credit can directly promote industrial structure upgrading through capital formation mechanism and capital guidance mechanism.In view of the different types of patent has different effect on industrial structure,this dissertation also studies the indirect effect of credit on the industrial structure by influencing three kinds of patents from the perspective of patent types:firstly,credit promotes patent output through the expansion of credit scale and the improvement of credit allocation efficiency;then,the patent can promote the upgrading of industrial structure by improving the utilization rate of production factors and labor productivity,changing the structure of market consumption demand,forming technology spillover effect and multiplier effect,and changing the industrial competition pattern.Finally,using the panel data of 30 provinces from 2009 to 2016 and establishing the static fixed-effect model and the dynamic GMM model respectively,the dissertation researches the direct and indirect effects of total credit and technology credit on industrial structure upgrading,and the conclusions were drawn:(1)The direct effect of total credit development on the upgrading of industrial structure is not significant,and even inhibiting the upgrading of industrial structure.However,the direct effect of technology credit on industrial structure is positive.(2)The three types of patents have different effects on the upgrading of industrial structure.Invention patent can effectively promote the upgrading of industrial structure,while utility model patent and appearance design patent have no significant promoting effect on the upgrading of industrial structure.(3)The cross term between total credit and various types of patents is not significant or significantly negative,it is proved that the credit market has not realized its function of capital financing,the capital utilization efficiency is low,and the industrial structure cannot be effectively improved through the output of patents.The cross term between technology credit and various types of patents is not significant,the indirect effect is negative,and the credit resources are mismatched.The research significance of this dissertation is to clarify the direct and indirect transmission mechanism of credit to industrial structure and empirically study the effect of total credit and technology credit on industrial structure upgrading in China.The importance of invention patents and credit for science and technology is emphasized,which is beneficial to enlighten Banks and other credit institutions to allocate resources more rationally,guide funds to innovative enterprises,improve credit allocation efficiency,strengthen invention patent research and development,and promote industrial structure upgrading.
