Rich and generous local resources are only the innate conditions for urban development.Various industrial resources will not last forever. The high-tech industry is the main driving force if the city is to develop! Therefore,it is realistic to study the spatial association of high-tech industry to the nonlinear correlation characteristics and spatial interaction mechanism of regional innovation performance. When investigating the regional innovation performance of high-tech industries,it is necessary to add spatial agglomeration factors in the analysis framework to study the threshold and spillover effects of spatial agglomeration on regional innovation performance in a more detailed and comprehensive manner. In view of this, the paper has done the following research:(1)Double threshold panel regression model, dividing three different threshold effectsBased on the provincial panel data of 28 provinces(cities)in China from 2005 to 2016,the model was set to the Hansen double threshold panel regression model by identifying the agglomeration level threshold and confidence interval by the likelihood ratio function. The empirical results show that the single threshold is 0.342,the confidence interval is [0.312,0.344],the double threshold is 0.274,and the confidence interval is [0.218,0.281].When the spatial agglomeration level(LQ)is lower than the first weight threshold of 0.274(LQ?0.274),the synergistic effect of agglomeration has not been transmitted to the regional innovation performance. When the level of agglomeration exceeds the first threshold, the spatial agglomeration level(LQ)is between 0.274 and 0.342(0.274<LQ?0.342).The synergistic effect plays a major role. The negative impact of the crowding effect has not yet appeared, and the agglomeration cost is low.In gathering income,it produces positive externalities. When the level of agglomeration exceeds the second threshold, when the spatial agglomeration level(LQ)is greater than 0.342(LQ>0.342),the crowding effect gradually appears. The promotion of industrial agglomeration on innovation performance begins to weaken, but the synergy of industrial agglomeration on technological innovation The effect still exceeds the crowding effect.(2)Spatial Dubin random effects model to capture spatial interaction spillover effectsBased on the threshold model, the geospatial dimension is added.Through spatial correlation Moran index and LISA cluster, the spatial correlation between spatial agglomeration and regional innovation performance is verified. The R-LM(lag)statistic is more significant than the R-LM(error)statistic.The time and space double fixed effect space lag panel model is established. The Wald test and the Hausman test result confirm the random effect space Doberman model(SDM)design. The form is more reasonable and reliable. The regression results are decomposed into direct effects and spillover effects: improving locational entropy(LQ)and improving the financing environment(Fina)have positive spillovers for local and adjacent regional innovation performance.Increasing corporate exotropy(Open)is conducive to promoting local innovation efficiency, but it has a restraining effect on adjacent areas.Enterprise scale(Scale),corporate performance(Perf),government support(Gord),and intellectual property protection(Prot)have only positively spilled over with local innovation performance, and the positive effect on innovation performance improvement in adjacent areas is not significant.(3)Gains and costs compete with each other, and inter-regional development is linkedDynamic returns and static costs compete with each other in three agglomeration phases, which will form different developments of innovative industrial clusters.Interregional development is no longer independent of each other, but an organic linkage. The innovative industrial cluster aims to enhance the regional innovation capability, make the innovation cluster become the driving force of urban development, and then drive the gathering of high-tech talents to form a closed-loop system of multi-layer coordinated evolution of industry, city and talent.
