In the context of rapid urbanization and global warming,the urban heat island effect exacerbates the extent and intensity of urban extreme weather events,resulting in a significant increase in the health risks of urban residents.Up to now,the issue of urban heat island effect has been widely concerned by experts and scholars at home and abroad.The importance of the urban environment for the residents living in the city and even the surrounding rural suburbs is self-evident,and it is urgent to find ways and means to alleviate the urban heat island effect.In the study of urban heat island effect,the most important research factor is surface temperature.Using the change of surface temperature to change the heat island effect has become an important means to study urban heat island effect.This paper starts from the change of surface temperature and the study of the heat island effect in Guangzhou.The research is divided into two parts:1.Remote sensing inversion of heat island effect and temporal and spatial evolution characteristics.2.The field monitoring of surface temperature of different greening modes and its corresponding impact on the heat island.The main research results of this paper are summarized as follows:1.Spatial distribution characteristics of urban heat island effect in the study area.The intensity of the heat island in the new city was obviously lowered than that in the old city,which had a strong correlation with the intensity of social and economic activities and the greening situation.2.The heat island effect of the study area varies with seasonal and interannual variations.The heat island effect in Guangzhou was obviously changing with the seasons.With the increase of urban vegetation coverage,the area of strong heat islands in Guangzhou had a decreasing trend,but the heat island effect had a tendency to expand into new urban areas in space.3.Vegetation coverage had a significant correlation with urban heat island effect.4.The ability of different land types to slowed down the urban heat island effect was: city park > college campus > commercial square.The ability of different vegetation types/community structures to slowed down the urban heat island effect was: tree-shrub-herb>tree-herb>shrub-herb>herb.The ability of different underlying surface types to slowed down the urban heat island effect was: grassland > pavement+ grassland > pavement.
