The acceleration of urbanization leads to the continuous agglomeration of population and the accelerated expansion of cities,and human activities also increase,which makes the heat discharged from the city to the outside increase,the condition of the underlying surface of the city also changes,and the heat source of the city increases,which intensifies the "Urban Heat Island Effect ".In recent years,the frequent occurrence of various extreme weather events in cities is partly due to the intensification of the urban heat island effect and which seriously threatens the safety of human life and property,etc.Against this phenomenon,the government and scholars put forward the construction of Climate Resilient Cites,which is highly concerned by the people and the relevant departments of the government.The thesis studies the influence of Climate Resilient Cites on urban heat island effect.The thesis based on the Multiple phases Landsat TM/OLI satellite images from 2003-2018 to retrieve surface temperature,and the range of main built area in Changde city was extracted,also the spatial and temporal evolution pattern of surface temperature and heat island intensity was analyzed,the relationship between urban surface index such as vegetation cover index?MNDWI?NDBBI was discussed.The effects of Climate Resilient cities on heat island effect were studied quantitatively.The findings are as follows:(1)Taking the planning area of Changde city center as the general study area,the urban heat island in the study area has concentrated phenomenon in different periods from 2003 to 2018.The Urban Heat Proportion Index is 0.222(2003 year),0.221(2008 year),0.245(2013 year),0221(2018 year).(2)The Urban Heat Island is mainly concentrated in the urban built-up area,divided by streets(townships/towns),mainly concentrated in Changgeng Street,Baimahu Street,Danyang Street,Qiming Street,Fuping Street,Chuanzihe Street,Wuling Town on the south bank of Yuanjiang River,and Deshan Street and Zhangmuqiao Street in Deshan District.During the period of urban expansion from 2003 to 2018,there is a trend of continuous outward transfer from the center.(3)By analyzing the correlation between land surface temperature change and land surface index change,the results show that land surface temperature change has obvious correlation with land surface index.The land surface temperature of urban land surface temperature is negatively correlated with vegetation cover index and Modified Normalized Difference Water Index(MNDWI),and positively correlated with Normalized Difference Bareness and Built-up Index(NDBBI),but the influence degree of surface index on surface temperature is different in different periods.(4)Taking Hunan University of Arts and Sciences and Baimahu Culture Park as an example to analyze the effect of climate Resilient city construction on urban heat island,the results show that Climate Resilient City construction has a certain cooling effect on land surface temperature,and the mitigation effect on heat island effect is mainly concentrated in middle heat island area and strong heat island area.(5)On the basis of the correlation analysis between land surface index and land surface temperature,the thesis puts forward the corresponding strategies to alleviate the urban heat island effect from the perspective of urban planning in the central planning area of Changde,such as vegetation coverage,Modified Normalized Difference Water Index(MNDWI)?Normalized Difference Bareness and Built-up Index(NDBBI).Changde city,as one of the first pilot areas for Climate Resilient City construction,strengthens Climate Resilient City construction in the planning area of Changde city center from the perspective of sponge city construction and Eco-City construction,increases green infrastructure,protects water environment,and builds ventilation corridors during the expansion of built-up areas,which is helpful to the construction of Climate Resilient Cities and to alleviate the strong heat islands in cities.
