Human-land relationship has always been an important subject in the field of geography. In different geological historical periods, with the change of climate and environment and the different ways and abilities of human beings to utilize resources, the connotation and extension of the relationship between man and land are constantly changing, and each stage has its specific social and environmental significance. This paper mainly explores the impact of climate, environment, landform, resources and other factors on human regional culture, and explores the relationship between geographical environment and human activities from a macro perspective.Based on the theory of ecological slope and the arid-semi-arid-semi-humid areas of western, southern,Shanxi and Henan Provinces of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the study integrates the data and information of archaeological sites from Neolithic to Shang and Zhou Dynasties(including the location, latitude and longitude of archaeological sites, elevation of sites, cultural types and cultural connotations of different periods)in the three regions. The relationship between regional cultural evolution and high-resolution Holocene climate change records is analyzed, and the characteristics of climate change and ancient cultural evolution and response are elaborated from the perspective of time and space. The conclusions are as follows:1)The eco-slope shoulder area(the West and south of Inner Mongolia are located in the eco-slope shoulder area). In this region, the ecological slope factor is the largest, the primary productivity is small, the biological nutrient source is relatively scarce, and the regional ecological support ability is low.Response to climate change is sensitive: during the warm and humid climate period, the number of sites increased and regional culture flourished;while the number of sites decreased rapidly and regional culture declined when the climate worsened. There is a positive correlation between the cultural evolution and climate change in this area.2)Slope area of ecological slope(southeastern Inner Mongolia and Northern Shanxi are located in slope area of ecological slope). This region corresponds roughly to the agro-pastoral ecotone. From northwest to southeast, the ecological slope factor decreases rapidly, the primary productivity increases, the biological nutrient source increases gradually, and the ecological support ability increases gradually.Response to climate change is sensitive: climate is warm and humid, the number of sites increases, regional culture flourishes;climate deterioration, the number of sites decreases rapidly, regional culture declines. There is also a positive correlation between cultural evolution and climate change.3)the foothill area of ecological slope(southern Shanxi and Northern Henan are located in the foothill area of ecological slope). In this region, the slope factor gradually decreases and stabilizes. From northwest to southeast, the primary productivity increases, the bio-nutrient source increases and the ecological support ability improves gradually.Generally speaking, the number of regional cultural sites is much higher than that of slope shoulder area and slope area.Response to climate change is sensitive: when the climate is stable, the relationship between man and land is harmonious;when the climate is cold and dry, with the retreat of the climate belt to the southeast and the migration of human beings from the slope shoulder to the slope area, the regional human-land relationship tends to be tense, the contradiction between man and land intensifies, and the cultural change is prone to occur;when the climate is warm and humid, with the extension of the climate belt to the northwest and the migration of human beings to the slope shoulder and slope area, the regional human-land relationship Relax. There is a negative correlation between regional cultural evolution and climate change.4)Holocene climatic environment fluctuations, superimposed on the ecological slopes of the northwest-southeast direction of slope factors, have an important impact on the evolution of regional culture: in the suitable climate period, the climate zone expands northwest, the slope surface is gentle, and the regional human has the trend of Northwest migration;on the contrary, the climate zone retreats to southeast, the slope surface is steep, and the regional human has the Southeast direction. The trend of regional migration at the foot of slope.Climate and environmental changes, through the impact of ecological slopes, ease or aggravate the regional social contradictions in the slope area, affect the characteristics of regional civilization, make the Central Plains region become a melting pot of East Asian cultural evolution, and drive the change of regional culture.
