A Study On The Policies,Effect&Impact Of USA Reindustrialization

The United States has gone through the stages of industrialization,deindustrialization and reindustrialization,and has gradually formed a policy framework to promote reindustrialization.This paper analyzes the historical background of American reindustrialization,studies the changes of relevant indicators after the implementation of the reindustrialization policy by means of quantitative analysis and comparative analysis,and probes into the policy effect of American reindustrialization.On the basis of building an econometric model,this paper empirically examines the impact of American reindustrialization on Sino-US merchandise trade.The article is divided into six parts.The introduction introduces the research background,research significance,literature review and so on.In the first chapter,according to the understanding of the definition and connotation of reindustrialization by domestic and foreign scholars,combined with the research object of this paper,this section gives a clear definition of reindustrialization,which lays a foundation for further research.Then,by examining the two stages of American industrialization and deindustrialization,this paper studies the historical background of American reindustrialization.The second chapter analyzes the causes of the reindustrialization in the macro-economy and the national strategy of the United States,combs the main policies of the four American presidents,and focuses on the relevant policies of the Obama administration and the Trump administration,and makes an analysis of the relevant policies of the Obama administration and the Trump administration.At last,the difference of the above two government policies is compared.The third chapter analyzes the policy effect,mainly from the manufacturing recovery index,the industrial structure rebalance index,the trade deficit reduction index and the employment increase index,and discusses the possible restricting factors to the policy effect release.Chapter 4 makes a quantitative analysis of the impact of American re-industrialization on Sino-US trade,mainly from two aspects,one is the impact on Sino-US trade scale,the other is the impact on Sino-US trade structure.After that,the paper analyzes the three major ways that the US reindustrialization affects Sino-US trade,and then selects the 1997-2017 timeseries data to construct the econometric model on the basis of this.This paper empirically tests the influence of American reindustrialization on American export to China.Chapter summarizes the results of this study and puts forward some policy recommendations.This paper finds that the re-industrialization of the United States shows a certain policy effect,but the effect is limited.At the same time,the empirical study shows that American reindustrialization will increase the US domestic manufacturing output value,reduce direct investment in China and force RMB appreciation to increase exports to China and affect Sino-US commodity trade relations.Based on this,some policy suggestions are put forward for the Chinese government,such as actively promoting the development of advanced manufacturing industry,expanding domestic demand,developing the domestic consumer market,seizing the opportunity of RMB appreciation,deepening the reform of exchange rate marketization,and so on.
