Soil erosion has become a national concern.Soil erosion is a complex dynamic process in which the productive topsoil is separated, transported and deposited far away, resulting in the exposure of subsurface soil and the deposition of reservoirs.lt is well known that soil erosion is caused by natural and man-made factors such as wind and water power.lt has seriously affected the region's natural economic environment.Effective control of soil erosion is necessary to restore and protect the regional economic environment. This paper takes Taigu County as the research area, applies GIS(geographic information system)and combines with the modified universal soil loss equation(RUSLE)to conduct a quantitative evaluation of soil erosion. The data of soil physical and chemical properties were collected through field investigation and data collection.Through a series of data collection, the value of each factor was obtained, and the grid layer was established. The results show that:(1)the surface of the taigu valley is characterized by numerous gullies and ravines. The topography of the taigu valley is relatively gentle, and the higher slopes are mainly concentrated in the southeast. The cultivated land is mainly concentrated in the gentle generation, and the central topography has a relatively large high and low span, mainly shrub woodland, and the higher places have thin soil and exposed rocks, losing the instinctive ability to retain the rain(2)according to the proportion of soil erosion intensity to the area, the soil erosion intensity in taigu is divided into the following order:northwest>,southeast>,south>,southwest>,northeast>,north>,west>and east>.Taking the southwest-northeast as the dividing line, the erosion on the right side of the dividing line is relatively serious, and the erosion modulus on the left side of the dividing line is relatively small.(3)topography has a great impact on soil and water loss of sloping farmland,in which extremely strong erosion is most widely distributed on the slope grade, including medium slope, steep slope and extremely steep slope. The slopes of northwest, southeast, southwest and northeast have the largest amount of upward distribution, with mild erosion, moderate erosion, strong erosion and extremely strong erosion accounting for more than 90%of the total area of each slope.Northwest, west, southwest, west, southwest, north, northeast, north slope upward distribution of the largest number of mild erosion, moderate erosion, strong erosion, extremely strong erosion accounted for each slope to the total area of more than 90%;In terms of soil erosion control,it is suggested to use vertical vegetation to plant shrubs at the lower part of the fruit forest where the slope is relatively large. In the over-cultivated areas, the farmland should be converted to forest, because the land is suitable for planting vegetation, grass should be planted on the upper part of the gentle slope, and the sand dam should be built. The monitoring of soil erosion in taigu valley should be strengthened so as to provide scientific basis for the improvement plan, planning and management.
