How to timely and accurately quantify the temporal and spatial pattern of urban heat island effect in the transnational urban agglomeration of the Tumen River(TUATR)is of great significance for improving human welfare and promoting the sustainable development of regional cities. However, there is still a lack of research on urban heat island effects in the TUATR.In addition, urban heat island intensity is a key indicator of urban heat island effect. To this end, this paper quantifies the temporal and spatial patterns of surface heat island intensity in the TUATR from 2003 to 2016,and discusses the impact of regional urban heat island effects. The main findings are as follows:It is of great theoretical and practical significance to quantify and analyze the land use/cover change and its driving force accurately,as well as the changes of land use/cover under the historical trend prospect in the transnational area of the Tumen river for the comprehensive utilization of regional land resources and the sustainable development. However, there was still lack of quantitative analysis of the driving factors of land use/cover change and simulation analysis of land use/cover change in the future.Based on this, studied the driving factors of land use/cover change and the simulated the land use/cover change under the historical trend scenario in the entire region and in the sub-regions of China, the DPRK(Democratic People's Republic of Korea),and Russia by taking the land use/cover data from 1977 to 2016 and other geographic information auxiliary data. The main work and conclusions can be seen as follows:(1)The change process of land use/cover from 1977 to 2016 was quantified from the perspective of the entire region and the sub-regions of China,Korea and Russia.Based on the land use/cover data of the study areas in 1977-2016,the LUCC process in the study area was calculated and analyzed from the whole region and the Chinese,Russian and Russian scales. The results show that in 2016,forest land and dry land are the main land types at the regional scale, accounting for 87.60%of the total area.On the scale of China,Russia and Russia, the Chinese side and the Korean side are dominated by woodland and dry land.Forest land and dry land account for 90.81%and 90.45%of the area on the Chinese side and the Korean side, respectively, while the Russian side uses forest land and grassland as Lord, the two account for 84.58%of the total area on the Russian side. From 1977 to 2016,the area of forest land in the study area decreased the most, with a decrease of 775.07km2;the area of construction land and dry land increased by 308.1km2 and 445.31km2 respectively;on the three sides of China,North Korea and Russia, the area of forest land decreased, construction land and dry land. The area increased mainly, with the area of forest land on the Chinese side reduced by 225.07 km2,the area of construction land and dry land increased by 144 km2 and 98.3 km2 respectively;the area of forest land on the Korean side decreased by 395.3 km2,the area of dry land increased by 144 km2,and the area of paddy field increased by 79.53km2.The land area increased by 33.2 km2;the forest area on the Russian side decreased by 154.00km2.In addition, the grassland area was reduced by 105.16km2,and the construction land and dry farmland area increased by 131km2 and 87.64km2 respectively.(2)The main driving factors of land use/cover change from 1977 to 2016 were quantified from the perspective of the entire region and in the sub-regions of China, the DPRK,and Russia.Based on the data of land use/cover from 1977 to 2016 and other auxiliary data of geographic information, the main driving factors of land use/cover change were quantified from the entire region, and in the sub-regions of China, the DPRK,and Russia. The results show that in the entire area, elevation and distance to the nearest river were the main driving factors that together affected all types of land use/cover,while in the sub-regions of China, the DPRK,and Russia, the driving factors that affected all types of land use/cover changed were obviously different.(3)Land use/cover changes in the sub-regions of China, the DPRK,and Russia under the simulated historical trend scenario.Based on the Markov chain and FLUS model, combined with the land use/cover data of China,North Korea and Russia and other driving factor data, the LUCC process of the three sides of China,Russia and Russia in 2016-2050 is simulated under the historical trend. The results show that in 2016-2050,the area is mainly reduced by the area of forest land and the increase of construction land area,of which the area of forest land has decreased by 744.21km2,and the area of construction land has increased by 464.13km2.During this period, the study area has three sides. The area of forest land decreased by 249.05km2,386.91km2 and 108.25km2 respectively. On the Chinese side and the Russian side, the area of construction land was mainly increased, and the construction land area increased by 257.97km2 and 177.93km2 respectively, while the Korean side mainly consisted of dry land. The area increased mainly, and the dry farmland area increased by 255.53km2 during this period. At the same time, the grassland on the Russian side of the study area also decreased by 201.89km2.The results show that the forest land and grassland area in the study area are greatly reduced under the historical trend scenario. To this end,China, the DPRK and Russia should strengthen cooperation and jointly formulate relevant policies and laws to control and plan land use, protect important ecological land, and promote the sustainable development of the Tumen River cross-border region.
