In the polarization detection technology,the Mueller matrix including the target's polarization characteristic,depolarization characteristic,bidirectional attenuation characteristic,phase delay characteristic,etc.,and is the main means to obtain the target polarization information.However,the measurement of Mueller matrix is closely related to the surrounding environment,measurement conditions and incident angle of light wave,so it is very important to measure the Mueller matrix of the target accurately.This paper analyzes the influences of different solution environments on the measurement results of Mueller matrix,and studies how to measure the target Mueller matrix in solution accurately.The specific work is as follows:1.A multi-rotation Mueller matrix measuring device is constructed.And the Mueller matrix of metal materials(steel,aluminum,copper)and non-metallic materials(silicon,sapphire)in air environment is measured.The measuring device is mainly composed of a circularly polarized light generating system,a polarizing system and a detecting system.We can obtain incident light of different polarization states by rotating the polarizing plate and the ?4/ wave plate in the multi-rotation polarization system,and the multi-rotation detecting system.Similarly,we can rotate the polarizer and ?4/ wave plate in the polarization analyzer many times to obtain reflected light of different polarization states.Thereby obtaining a Mueller matrix of steel sheets,aluminum sheets,copper sheets,silicon sheets,and sapphire sheets in the air.2.The Mueller matrix of steel,aluminium,copper,silicon and sapphire sheets in water and milk with different concentrations are measured,and compared with the results in air.The influence of solution on the components of Mueller matrix is analyzed.In order to reduce the influence of the solution on the measurement results,the method of stepwise measurement of the Mueller matrix is proposed.Firstly,the Mueller matrix of the solution is measured,and then the original measurement result is inversely calculated according to the relationship between the Stokes vector and the Mueller matrix,and the Mueller matrix of the target after the solution is obtained.The results show that the measurement results are close to those in the air environment,indicating that this step-by-step measurement method can obtain the target Mueller matrix more accurately.
