Land use and cover change can reflect the state of global climate change and the land ecosystem, which is the main cause of global change. It is of great significance to global environmental change and sustainable development.Based on the Landsat data of 1991,2000,2004,2010,2013 and 2016 remote sensing images of the coastal zone of Danzhou bay,the remote sensing interpretation and multi-years land use maps were made by RS and GIS technology on the basis of field investigation. The temporal and spatial characteristics of land use in Danzhou Bay coastal zone were analyzed and evaluated by usingthe land use dynamic degreemodel, the transfer matrix model and hot spot analysis. The evolution of landscape pattern in Danzhou Bay coastal zone wereanalyzed and evaluated by usingthe landscape pattern analysis. From two angles of nature and humanity, the driving factors of land use and landscape pattern evolution in Danzhou Bay coastal zone were analyzed. The results showed that:In the aspect of land use:1)Danzhou Bay coastal zone had been changed greatly during the last 25 years,The trend of change pushed forward from land to sea.2)In the aspect of time, the study area underwent smaller dynamic change before 2010 and its dynamic change increased after 2010,the maximum of dynamic changes appeared between 2010-2013;In the aspect of space, greater land use changes appeared near the shoreline. The changes of land are greater than that of ocean. In the study area, changes decreased gradually from the center to the periphery. The hot spot of regional dynamic changes is located in the east coast of the Gulf of Danzhou lagoon,Yangpu Peninsula and Yangpu bay.3)In research area, farmland is the main land use type;Among 10 land use types, tour land, construction land, roads and ponds were the most significant dynamic changes of land use;land transfer are mainly represented by transforming from farmland to construction land, tour land, roads, ponds and from coastal waters to construction land and tour land.In the aspect of landscape pattern:1)With the passage of time, the degree of landscape fragmentation is becoming more and more serious and the types of each patch tend to be balancedin the research area.2)The research area has been dominated by dominant patches. As time goes on,the dominant position of dominant patches gradually decreases, and the patch types of landscape become more and more uniform.3)As time goes on,the study area is increasingly affected by human interference, and the landscape patches are becoming more and more regular. In comparison with the landscape types.the human disturbance was ranked in descending order as follows:agricultural land>construction land>pond>vegetation.4)The connectivity of landscape types was sorted in descending order as follows:agricultural land>rivers and lakes>roads>ponds>vegetation. The evolution of land use and landscape pattern are affected by both natural and human factors in Danzhou Bay Coastal Zone,of which humanistic factors play a major role, and human factors are mainly reflected in policy factors, demographic factors and economic factors. With the promotion of policies,Yangpu Development Area and Haihua island are developing rapidly.Population growth and economic development speed up the process of urbanization, promote the transfer of land use,and exacerbate the degree of fragmentation of landscape.Along with the change of land use and landscape pattern, the ecosystem of the coastal zone of Danzhou Bay is facing a challenge. In the future development process,we should pay attention to the development of the superior industry according to local conditions, avoid the destruction of the habitat and prevent the damage.
