Waterlogging is one of the main abiotic stresses in modern agricultural production.A large number of studies have shown that the effects of waterlogging on plants are mainly due to root-zone hypoxia under flooding conditions, but with the limitation of the normal physiological functions of the underground, the ground department of normal growth and development will also be affected. The vicious cycle is caused under the conditions where the stress of the locust is not alleviated, and the damage caused by the locust stress is further increased until the plant dies. The northeastern region is the main producing area of sorghum in China. In recent years, the distribution of precipitation in this area has become increasingly extreme, with severe local damage.Although there has been a large amount of research on crop deficiencies, the impact of locust damage on sorghum has affected the area. There are few relevant research reports. The results of this experiment indicate that the occurrence of pod damage at the flowering stage of sorghum will seriously affect the root activity, photosynthetic capacity and its stress resistance system, and the extent of the damage is closely related to the duration of flooding. After flooding, the root activity will be significantly reduced, and the normal physiological functions of the roots will be destroyed. At the same time, the photosynthetic efficiency of the leaves will be reduced, the accumulation of dry matter will be hindered, and the related antioxidant enzymes will be activated. When the damage is continuously aggravated,it will lead to cell development.Destructive necrosis, the antioxidant enzyme system is permanently damaged, and the sorghum's own resistance is reduced and cannot be restored.Spraying ABA can effectively increase the anti oxidative enzyme activity in the severely damaged leaves of the middle and lower part of the sorghum, but it still exerts the effect of promoting aging on the leaves with lighter damage.Studies have shown that when the stress exceeds 20 days, the grain yield and harvest index of sorghum will be severely affected. After spraying ABA,the economic yield and biological yield of the affected sorghum will tend to recover.
