Now with the heat island effect rising, people have become more and more concerned about microclimate. As an ecologically sensitive area in the city, the urban waterfront area has positive significance in improving the microclimate environment in the city and promoting the sustainable development of the city. The microclimate of urban waterfront is affected by many factors, such as terrain, vegetation, water, etc. In the process of research of this paper, for all the elements that influence the extraction of waterfront, focuses on the river width, and height of embankment and presence of obstructions(hill soil class)three kinds of shape elements, the main use of in-situ test and computer simulation software ENVI-met with the combination of research methods, study the morphological changes of waterfront, with water surrounding the influence of the micro climate, and from the natural ecology of regulatory, coastline of sharing,as well as the space continuity these three aspects analyzes the present situation of the urban waterfront micro climate environment, aims to explore the cold city waterfront water surrounding the relationship between micro climate and shape elements of waterfront. Will get the field test data and simulated data analysis, the results show that the river width, and height of embankment and shelter are the waterfront micro climate to some extent, the impact of the role.At the same time, the effect of river width and occlusion is more significant in the field of binshui area of the city. Finally,by combining the analysis of the research results and the field situation, the design strategy of the urban waterfront in the city is given.
