People always want to create a comfortable environment.The outdoor public space in the residential area occupies a prominent position in the daily life of the residents.It provides the commuter space for residents as well as an occasion for daily activities such as daily exercise,walking,entertainment and so on,so its quality directly affects the life quality of residents.Therefore,it has became an unneglected problem in building planning and design to improve the amenity and rate of utilization of outdoor public space in the residential area.The research was conducted in the outdoor public space in the residential area of Nanning city.Based on the analysis of meteorological data,questionnaire survey,field survey,behavior note,software simulation and other methods,in this paper,the relation between residence activities and outdoor public space was studied,and appropriate microclimate construction strategy was discussed.The main work was as follows:(1)The microclimate parameters such as air temperature,relative humidity,wind environment and average radiation temperature in Nanning were analyzed.The relationship between the average radiation temperature on the unobstructed ground plane and solar radiation was deduced,and then the applicability of outdoor thermal comfort indexes in Nanning was discussed,including universal thermal climate index(UTCI),standard effective temperature(SET*)and physiological equivalent temperature(PET).(2)A questionnaire survey was conducted on the behavior patterns of residents in the outdoor public space in Nanning,and the microclimate environment of four typical outdoor public spaces in the residential area was tested for the field.The results showed that microclimate factors affected people’s evaluation of outdoor public space in residential areas,to affected people’s activities of residents in the outdoor public space in residential areas.(3)Through the behavior annotation of the residents’ activities in the outdoor public space in Nanning,the temporal variation regulation of the number of people in the outdoor public space,the place of activities and the activities group in the outdoor public space in the residential area was obtained.(4)A microclimate simulation software ENVI-met was used to simulate the microclimate of outdoor public space in Nanning.First,the applicability of the software in Nanning was verified,and then through the survey analysis on the data onto newly constructed and renovated residential areas in 2013~2017,a benchmark case was established.Further quantitative analysis was carried out considering building space form and exterior environment that might affect the microclimate in outdoor public space of residential area.(5)Two ways to improve the microclimate of outdoor public spaces in residential areas are proposed to the following aspects: optimizing the building space forms design and exterior environment design.In addition,a simplified method using universal thermal climate index(UTCI)to guide and optimize the design of human body comfort in the microclimate environment in outdoor public space of residential area was proposed. |
