In the 21 st century,as people pay attention to the lack of daily exercise,the quality of outdoor space is increasingly becoming an issue,and the physical environment of the built environment plays a crucial role in daily life.However,due to the accelerating urbanization,the urban climate environment has deteriorated,which has seriously affected the daily activities and physical health of urban residents.Urban open space is an important place for urban residents to carry out outdoor activities.Urban residents use open space to carry out activities such as fitness,social intercourse and leisure activities.Microclimate environmental quality has become a key factor for evaluating the quality of open space.The choice of spatial locations,the type of underlying surface and spatial boundary are closely bound up with the microclimate environment of open space.Unreasonable planning of open space will make microclimate environment unsuitable for people to carry out outdoor activities.To some extent,through the design of microclimate environment of the open space,it can affect the activity characteristics in the open space,including the duration of each activity and the type of activity.Therefore,the improvement of the open space microclimate environment is essential to improve people's quality of life.For Harbin,China's cold city,the winter climate is cold and lasts longer,while the summer time is short and the high temperature duration is short.For the winter,the effect of simply improving the microclimate environment through urban design is not obvious.While the temperature rise and fall in the spring and autumn transition season in the severe cold region is faster,and the temperature difference between day and night is large,and properly regulation of open space microclimate can improve the comfort of the human body and increase the comfort range.Therefore,for the severe cold region,it is of great significance to study the microclimate environment and climate comfort of the open space.This thesis conducts in-depth research and analysis on the climate comfort of the open space of the riverside through the investigation of microclimate,behavioral activity and activity space of the riverside open space on the south bank of the Songhua River in Harbin.Through the method of survey methods,behavioral site observation and field interview,we can understand the status quo of open space.Based on the evaluation of the climate thermal comfort of the open space in the current situation,the relationship between thermal comfort and space use of the open space of the riverside in Harbin in transitional season is explored,and the influence of thermal comfort on space use is analyzed.The author explores the correlation between microclimate parameters,user attributes,activity factors and thermal sensation voting,so as to explore the impact of the microclimate environmental factors,personal factors and activity factors onthermal sensation vote of space users.According to the analysis results,the overall design strategy of the riverside open space in Harbin is proposed,and specific and targeted design strategies for the different nature of activity space in the riverside open space are proposed to achieve the goal of improving the quality of service life of the riverside open space in Harbin.
