In recent years,the application of water retaining agents in turfgrass establishment has become one of the research hotspots.In this experiment,one of the common turfgrass,tall fescue,was selected and a pot experiment of tall fescue was conducted with a comprehensive experimental design.The test results showed that under the conditions of sufficient water supply and limited water,compared with the new liquid soil conditioner B and the granular water-retaining agent C and the control group CK,the soil moisture content,particle size distribution,soil water characteristic curve and other soil properties as well as the effects of growth characteristics such as leaf growth rate,leaf water content,and chlorophyll value in potted tall fescue,the following research results were mainly achieved.The effect of a new type of liquid soil conditioner on the water retention and retention characteristics of the soil.Under the test conditions of full water supply,the new liquid soil conditioner B had little effect on reducing the decrease in soil moisture content compared with the granular water-retaining agent C and the control group treated with CK.Under the limited water test conditions,the decrease of the soil moisture content by the new liquid soil conditioner B was significantly different from other treatments.Therefore,it is concluded that the new liquid soil conditioner has a significant effect on increasing the water retention and retention characteristics of the soil.The effect of new liquid soil conditioners on the distribution of soil particle size.Through comprehensive experimental design,the particle size analysis of each treatment test soil was performed to obtain: When applying of new liquid soil conditioner B content of B2,at 0 to 10 cm of soil depth,compared with the blank processing CK,increases the soil particle size in the proportion of 2-50?m,reduced the soil particle size in the 0-2?m?50-2000?m;At the soil depth of 10-20 cm,compared with CK treated with blank treatment,the proportion of soil particle size at 0-2?m?2-50?m was increased,and the proportion of soil particle size at 50-2000?m was decreased.The effect of new liquid soil conditioners on growth characteristics of potted tall fescue.Under the experimental conditions of full water supply,the growth rate of tall fescue was inhibited by each application amount of the novel liquid soil conditioner B,and there was no significant difference.Under water-limited conditions,the inhibitory effect of reagent B on the growth rate showed a tendency of increasing first and then decreasing with the increase of the application amount.When the application rate was B3,the effect on the growth rate was significantly different from other treatments.The effect of new liquid soil conditioner on leaf water content and chlorophyll value.Under the condition of full water supply,the new liquid soil conditioner B has little effect on the water content of the leaves.Under the condition of water limiting test,when the application amount of reagent B is B2,the water content of the leaf is the largest in the 6-10 month period of the test,and there is a significant difference from other treatments.When the amount of chlorophyll is worth the size,when the application of the new liquid soil conditioner is B2,B3,except C3,there is significant difference between the chlorophyll and other treatments,and the chlorophyll value is obviously improved.There is no significant difference between B2,B3 and C3 treatment.New liquid soil conditioner can reduce the rate of decline in soil moisture content,improve soil physical properties,and for tall fescue is increase the dry matter weight and chlorophyll content,leaf water content,reduce the effect of tall fescue growth rate,and by applying three different content analysis of the test set,works best when it seems to B2.
