With the more objective and deeper understanding of human cognition of the real world,people find that the information expressed and transmitted on traditional maps is limited,and it is difficult to meet the needs of multi-level applications in various fields.In order to adapt to the needs of multi-granularity spatio-temporal object visualization,in order to expand the expressiveness of maps and enhance the efficiency of geographic information transfer,this paper analyzes the current status of expression of multidimensional features and dynamic features of the multi-granularity spatio-temporal objects,and systematically studies the expression rules,expression methods and applications of them.(1)Analyzed the problems existing in current map modeling and expression.According to the basic concepts of multi-granularity spatio-temporal object and the needs of spatial cognition,then the concept of multi-dimensional dynamic feature symbolization based on multi-granularity spatio-temporal object modeling was proposed.And discussed the content of its research.(2)Through the analysis of traditional map expression and multi-granularity spatio-temporal object expression,the study of the regularity of multi-granularity spatio-temporal object map symbol representation was done.According to the research of multi-granularity spatio-temporal object data model,in order to realize the need of visual expression,the multi-granularity spatio-temporal object's multi-dimensional features and dynamic features are logically described and constructed.A conceptual model and logic model and symbol rendering model for multi-granularity spatio-temporal object's multidimensional dynamic feature symbolization.(3)According to the expression characteristics of multi-granularity spatial-temporal object's multi-dimensional dynamic feature,using the visual perception theory of maps,a multi-granularity spatio-temporal object visual variable system is proposed.The factors affecting the multi-granularity spatio-temporal object's map symbol design are deeply studied,and the map symbol design method based on graphic element layered is proposed.(4)Application experiments of multi-granularity spatio-temporal object's multidimensional dynamic feature map symbol representation are implemented.Based on the needs of logistics transport scenarios and visualization,symbol design and implementation of multi-granularity spatio-temporal objects and their multidimensional dynamic feature involved in logistics transportation are achieved on the basis of the full-space information system platform,and the expression efficiency are analyzed.
