The obstacle detection system can realize the active identification and imaging of the target.In the view of the analysis of the detection system of the long-range target in the dark environment,the principles and application requirements of the illumination part in the system are taken into consideration.An obstacle detection illumination system with a range of 1000m~5000m was designed under the requirements of high energy and variable divergence angle.By studying the beam characteristics of the high-power laser diode,the divergence angle of the fast axis is compressed by using aspheric cylindrical lens in order to achieve the same divergence angle with the slow axis.To ensure the light energy at 5000 meters,a spherical lenses system is used to focus the light.In order to improve the utilization rate of energy,the relationship between the moving quantity of the lens group and the divergence angle is analyzed.The function of the active imaging system to change the position of the lens group automatically is realized.The design and analysis results show that the variable divergence angle illumination can be achieved within the range.The divergence angle is changed between 5 degree at 1000 meters to 1 degree at 5000 meters which meets the requirements of the use of the long range detection system at night.
