The work area is located on the northern margin of the Qaidam Basin,which is next to the Caledonian Liuhongou-Lapeiquan belt of the Alkin tectonic belt on the northern side.It is a junction zone contained the northeastern section of the Altyn Tagh tectonic belt,the northern edge of the Qaidam block,and Oulong Brook micro continent block.The geological tectonic is extremely complex and magmatic activities are comparatively frequent.The ultra-mafic rock series,intermediate-acidic intrusive bodies,and marbles in various stages of the overall evolution have provided favorable geological conditions for the mineralization in this area.The author performed statistical analysis on the geochemical data obtained from the geochemical test analysis of sediments from the 1:50000 river sediments in Gabusala Su,compiled thirteen kinds of elemental geochemical maps,and selected out three comprehensive anomalies zone.One of anomalies zone belongs to Category A and two of which belong to Category B,which provide objective geochemical data for the work area and provides important geochemical basis for metallogenic prediction.In the study area,a total of dozens of small and medium-sized ore deposits,ore spots,and mineralization sites have been discovered,such as metal minerals,non-metallic minerals,and energy minerals,which belong to the Eastern Kunlun metallogenic province and Niubizi-eboliang metallogenic belt.Based on the results of abnormal assessment and abnormality verification,geochemical elements distribution,anomalous geochemical combination features,and mineralization enrichment features were combined to conduct a comprehensive analysis.The authors concluded that the main minerals in the study area were dominated by magnetite and nickel(cobalt)ores with the possibility of zinc,lead,antimony,silver and other polymetallic ores.In the study area,a combination of five different combinations of elements was selected for anomaly verification,and a new discovery of a chromium-iron mineralization spot was found at the site where the abnormalities were well reproducible.Besides,a circle of prospecting prospects has been delineated: the Beishan-Donggou copper-nickel metallogenic prospect area in the salt field of the basic-ultrabasic complex.
